planeflyer21
lol I've read all but Hatcher's Notebook but it was so long ago....More recently I've been into the up-close and personal, being reminded how much I like and admire Fairbrain and Sykes. I would've liked to have met them very much.Jon
Tripledeuce
I never met Fairborne or Sykes, But Rex Applgate had a very inflated image of himself, much like Col. Cooper. You couldn't hold a conversation with the Col. You listened while he lectured.LOL!! Hatcher was a very interesting person. At one time or another in his military carrer, He was in charge of both Springfield and Frankford arsnels. He did many interesting things, one of which was co-inventing" the 35 Whelen, which he named for Towsand Whelen. Respectfully Terry
