hey fellas new to the site and just had a quick question i am in the process of ordering my first .308 the armalite ar-10a2 carbine and on the description its says Rear Sight: .70/.195 Battle Sight the carry handle type and i wanna know if it is removable or not i want to mount a eotech and dont really want to mount it to the top of that carry handle!!!!!

sry about the post before searching and the answer is its not removable so anybody have any options on mounting optics on the carry handle

Well there's a few options. Most work the same. Armalite used to offer the A.R.M.S mounts. You can get the tapco for $10 . There is also some imports that have the rings right on them. Lastly I think you can get an Acog that will drop right in.

Thanks guy thankfully I was able to cancel the order before it was shipped or even processed and was able to order the armalite A4 from another company so I should be expecting here by the end of the week but i appreciate the quick responses

Why not change your order to the AR10-A4C.  Rail version.  Why get the carry handle if you're wanting to mount optics?
