Awesome.  I know the model I ordered has no trap door, brass deflector or forward assist, must be pretty basic.

What kind of stock is that?

If I wasnt a lefty I would get the smooth sided upper too.

The stock is the  AR-10/SR-25 version of the Magoul PRS

Thats a sweet build, I am ordering a PRS tomorrow for mine, if the PRS functions half as good as it looks it should be a good addition to an already great rifle!  How do you like your PRS?  Any issues with it, fit and finish?

The PRS is awesome but heavy. Magpul makes quality stuff. I did nearly an Identical AR-15 too

Any opinions on where to buy from, I have seen most listed around the $242 mark, but saw some for like 189 w free shipping?  Any ideas on why the big difference?

The price is pretty close to the same everywhere. I think its because they are a little hard to get at times. Botach Defense has it for $160 or something. I posted elsewhere about it.

Disclaimer: Just be warned that some folks have had issues with Botach Tactical customer service. I assume they are the same outfit as Botach Defense. My limited transactions have been fine and I required no support.

I'm curious as to the purpose of the build, bench gun, match rifle, varmint etc.

No special purpose. It mostly evolved out of parts availability. Here in CT its a paper puncher but i often head to my buddies in Vermont where we shoot at some pretty long ranges. He has an awesome valley right next to his log cabin where we can shoot as far as we want. He has an old jeep just for setting up and checking targets. It's paradise. Up until now we have been using my 22-250 Remington 700 for the long shots. Funny thing, His garden is exactly 100 yards from his deck. We sit there popping the cherry tomatos off the fine. They just disappear, its awesome.

That is a great picture, really pretty country. Looks a lot like the country around here before it built up some. Hard to find a place to hunt chucks anymore. Seems like there's a new house in the middle of every field I used to hunt in.

I was lucky enough to have contact with them at day one and they hooked me up good, before most anyone else had samples.  For me it's kind of a watermark to recognize my pictures easily. A-Tacs and cat hair
