imschur
Upon receiving my Pmags I decided to study the differences in all the magazines I own for my DPMS LR-308. For this post I will stick with observations between the C Products LLC 7.62 and DPMS LR-308 factory magazines.Images 1,2&3 -front view of both magazines. The magazine on the left is the C Products. Notice how the front of the CP magazine is lower than the DPMS. The difference is enough to allow a substantial difference in how much more of the second cartidge is visible. Additionally the DPMS magazine holds the cartridge level in the magazine. The C Products tips the cartridge up at a slight angle.Image 4 - Right side view. The closest magazine is the C Products. The cartridge angle difference is apparent between the two magazinesImage 5 - A Close up (see above)Image 6 - Another right side view from a little higher up. The differences in the angle are obvious.Interestingly many shooters who experience feed issues with their DPMS LR-308 have solved the feed problems by bending the feed lips in a manner similar to the C Products standard configuration. dirigoboy
Curious if these C-mags are made of the same material as the DPMS, and what is the difference in price? I think DPMS are going for $44/per?I've also drifted over to look at these Magpul's advertised here. They seem to be going for $20/per. Have you heard any reports on them? The price is right, but you get what you pay for.

imschur
Guys have been chomping at the bit for these 7.62 Pmags for a long time. I havent heard any negative feedback yet so thats a good sign. The 5.56 version of the Pmag has a cult following with AR-15 guys. Im not sure what makes the DPMS factory mags so pricey. I get them pretty cheap from sportsmans guide from time to time. I like the C Products in my AR-'s so thats what I have mostly been purchasing for mt LR-308. Plus Im helping out a local business at the same time.
Madhouse
The 5.56 version of the Pmag has a cult following with AR-15 guys. I've got 17 or 18 of the 5.56 PMags for my ARs, they work very well.
JD
I've never had problems with DPMS mags, never tried the C products mag. I have some 7.62 Pmags on the way and if they work as well the 5.56 Pmags I'll buy a pile of them.
imschur
Just as a note to followers of this thread. C Products is under new ownership. While it's ok to order old stock thats on the shelf nobody is sure what the new owners will deliver in the way of product. It's an ugly drama right now with these guys
