If the barrel does not protrude past the frame ramp when pushed back and the gun feeds okay then I would leave it alone. The 1911 is designed to have a slight offset between the ramp and bottom of the barrel (bottom of the barrel being slightly forward of the top edge of the feedramp). Every 1911 I've owned that didn't have a ramped barrel had this offset and it has never been a problem. I've been 'smithing 1911's for 30 years and that is my opinion, for what it's worth.
