I'd rather it be gone completely, but a simple notification instead of asking daddy government if I can move about the country with my own personal property, is a better step than nothing.

Well, it's a Tax on an enumerated Right, so if the Politicos play the game right, and use that verbiage, it should fly straight through the Byrd Rule.
