NightStalker Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 Does anyone know where to get an h2 buffer kit for my 308? Everything I’m seeing is way expensive or out of stock.
98Z5V Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 I'm sure it's directly related - Tungsten is in very short supply right now...

NightStalker Posted May 18 Author Report Posted May 18 (edited) It’s a standard 308 carbine buffer. Already have an adjustable gas block bust wanting to tame the recoil a bit more. I had put one in my ar15 and like the results. Also wondering if a heavier spring without changing the buffer would do the same. Edited May 18 by NightStalker Added
98Z5V Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 What's the buffer length on what you have now, and what's the internal depth of the receiver extension that's on the gun?
NightStalker Posted May 18 Author Report Posted May 18 The buffer is 21/2 The spring is 11 1/2 Tube depth is 6 15/16

Read this: If you haven't already described your entire gun, soup to nuts, then do it. Read this Waterboarding thread. All the numbers are very, very important, if you want a functioning gun, regardless of ammo selection. It makes a difference.
NightStalker Posted May 18 Author Report Posted May 18 Yep that’s why I’m looking for new buffer and spring

This is all easily solvable, man. Fret not. H2 isn't where you'll be, though - you'll be at H3. Edited May 19 by 98Z5V
NightStalker Posted Monday at 03:55 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 03:55 PM Looking for the h3 buffer and its seems to be a ghost lol I’ll keep looking
shooterrex Posted Monday at 07:23 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:23 PM There are H3 buffers out there for sale BUT they will not work in a standard carbine buffer tube on your 308. Armalite carbine buffer tube is 7 5/8" inside depth and H3 buffers work on a 308. Heavy Buffers.com will build you a buffer heavy and short enough to work in your standard carbine buffer tube. All that info was in the stuff 98Z posted for you to read.
