Madhouse Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 They never mentioned the trigger, probably just the standard setup on it.0.68" @ 100 yds, not bad for a 16" gun.
JD Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 As I've stated more than once on this forum, I've owned and know two other people who currently own AP4's and every gun will shoot under 1'' @ 100 yds w/3 shots. They all came with the standard AR trigger and were 100% reliable and deadly on deer up to 400 yds with 150 grain soft points.
savageshooter308 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Ive got one and really like it. I put a Mickulick break on to tame the recoil. Now it recoils like a 6.8spc, but it is the loudest most violant muzzel blast I have ever seen.
survivalshop Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 They never mentioned the trigger, probably just the standard setup on it.0.68" @ 100 yds, not bad for a 16" gun. They also don't mention if they had a scope on it to get those results.( if they did I missed it ) .68@ 100yrds., with Iron sights ? Kinda miss leading & you know there was some trigger work done for that test rifle or all of them .Not trying to take any thing away from the AP 4 , I just don't trust the guns that gun writers get to test as being a run of the mill , that you & I get .
imschur Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 Very true, at least you know or hope the potential exists for similar accuracy
savageshooter308 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 It would kind of defeat the purpose to use iron sights to test accuracy of a rifle. The key to any testing is trying to controle variables. That being said. I think rifle reviews are just like any body elses openions. I love it when they mention in an article about their limited ability, or how the gun shoots better then they can. If you have to disclaim your "ability" why the F* are you reviewing weapons?
Scottysan Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I own an AP4 and my brother in law does too. They both shoot beautifully, especially for carbine length guns. My bro has had his out several times at 200 developing loads for it, and it's still tight... looking to move it to 300 next time.
