Very surprised at the accuracy of this rifle. Started as an AP4. I put an A2 buttstock with a Brownells hydraulic buffer on it. I changed the trigger to a SSA from Geissele and a Hogue grip. I had planned to load my own 150 grain ProHunter for it, but after testing with Federal's 308A (150 grain soft point)... no need in me spending my time reloading. Two different sessions at range, 3 shots .. at 100 yards ... one ragged hole  ;D

I used a Brownell buffer. I noticed a change in the felt recoil. I did install a Geissele trigger after a trigger "guru" trashed my original. Have Geissele triggers in all of my AR's. Worth every penny I spent on them.

Brownell's doesn't make a buffer - but they sell alot of them.  It would be more beneficial if you searched out the brand of buffer you bought from Brownell's, and posted that info.  <thumbsup>

Well so far my AP4 is stock except that I bought a Burris AR-332 and mounted it on the carry handle. To do this you must remove the mounting base that comes with the AR-332 and mount it on the carry handle. You will have to drill an additional hole on the top of the handle and then drill both of the holes on through the base of the handle and then go back and slightly enlarge the holes through the base to enable the use of a screwdriver so it can be mounted. When mounted you will notice a hole through the base which will allow you to use the iron sights which are on the rifle.
