The UBR is one of my favorite pieces of MagPul kit. It is a little heavier than a CTR but it is rock solid. So you get the feel of a fixed solid stock but it is collaspeable/adjustable for transport and so you can set your length of pull for various sighting systems. It seems to perform very well with the .308s that I have used it on.

No it's not a build, I got it from POF ready to go. Uppper and lower are POF I did however switch out the stock and grip for MagPul kit.

I love the ambi release because even though I'm right handed I'm left eye dominant so I shoot a rifle and shotgun left handed. The release cuts some significant time out of my empty load reloads.

I think that the finish is Type III anodizing.

I own two POF 308s, two of the 5.56 lowers and my son owns a complete 5.56 rifle from them, so I guess that we like them!

I just put on lay a way a 5.56 (marked multi cal. )lower from them , billet , w/amb. mag release.

Very impressed with the quality.

I put it on lay a way plan because I also bought a LWRC 5.56 nato lower for a build I have already in progress & was short on cash for the POF yesterday.

I'm sure that you will be happy with it. I was going to buy and build up another 5.56 lower but then got bitten by the .260 REM bug. I'm now waiting on the optics to come in for the new .260 upper and then slap it on the DPMS lower and go blasting.
