Magwa Posted April 4, 2013 Report Share Posted April 4, 2013 you have to be licenced by the federal wildlife agency as most birds are protected after you get your licence they issue you permits to either trap a wild immature bird or take a nestling and raise it ,I have done both ways and i like the trapped birds better they already know how to survive..... it is a very rewarding sport but it is a 365 day a year commitment, you have to feed and take care of them every day....I have not been active in it for 12 years just to much going on these days....
