Can a person use different buffer tubes/receiver extension that are non-RRA on the LAR-8?

   I have a DPMS bbl on my lar8  and a dpms bolt.

   I would guess that the buffer tube would be interchangeble.

 

   What do you mean by "reciever extension????  Do you mean the bbl extension?  in which case its yes.   Or the bolt carrier?  in which case is a no.

If you look at the parts diagram for the LAR-8 on RRA's website, they list what others call the buffer tube as a "receiver extension":

 Brother, it's gonna come down to carrier length (RRA is different than others), and buffer length.  Will another receiver extension screw in? hell, yeah, every receiver extension will screw into the lower.  "Will it operate?" is another question. ` Got any buffer-length measurements you can post up, to compare to other parts?  Hit up Slash's info, too.

This was regarding a A2 RRA operator stock I got from brother Jon.I'll just stay with the LAR-8 parts RR lists to avoid problems.Thanks.Lookin to tweak Ripper.Eventually will add SSA-E trigger,Slash's setup to bring out full potential.
