maz34
I found these on gunbroker and they seem a good price considering the price gouging going on out there. The seller reviews are good, however he has not responded to my email about the manufacturer. The buy it now price is 349$ http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=334446631 Edited March 27, 2013 by maz34

I purchased one from him and he's a legit seller and the manufacturer. He did the same to me. He claimed to manufacturer for KAC and judging from the quality he may not be blowing smoke. He said KAC-Knights Armament-was not paying its bills on time so he said screw 'em. This explains the no company label. His company website doesn't sell them to the public...sorry can't remember the name. The BCG fit like a charm in my mega. He is selling for that low buy now price to give the proverbial middle finger to all those that have ridiculous prices. Look for yourself. Many have a starting bid 150 dollars above his buy now price. He also claims to be close to selling receivers at good price points to do the same. jrtMA
Oh ya, I just recommend buying at the $349. They sell quick and there always seems to be someone that just does that anyways because it is a good deal nowadays. Up to you though. I tried bidding twice two separate times then just bought it for the $349. I have not shot with it yet but the bolt passed my headspace check with flying colors with a FA Criterion barrel. maz34
Appreciate the info! I just bought one at the buy it now price. I actually have one backorder from 26th of November through brownells, but they have no clue when I will see it. So at worse i will have an extra when that comes through. All I need now is a barrel and my build can begin! Thanks for your help

Let me know how it shoots? Where do you shoot at in mass.? I'm going to be moving back to the northeast when I get out at the end of the summer, I'm originally from the monadnock region of nh. Im looking for a house in southern nh/north central mass area. But I heard mass gun laws suck!

But I heard mass gun laws suck! I shoot in a number of places but Plymouth for now is my main choice. MA gun laws do suck but they're not as bad as CA, NY, DC, etc. There are legal ways to get around a lot of stuff. It's not as loose as the south and some other great states but you can own quite a bit. The restrictions on collapsable stocks, 10 rd mag caps, and having to have a brake pinned are about the extent of most of it. Feel free to PM with any questions and I'll help when I can. Ft Benning? I don't miss that place lol. I do miss the Army though.
98Z5V
I do miss the Army though. Same here, brother - don't miss the organization, but I miss the camaraderie and great friends, that you could always count on. <thumbsup>

I didn't realize how special those bonds were until after I left the military.
planeflyer21
:threadjack: The bonds are unique. People you can't stand personally you trust with your life more than a fun good ol' boy. Jon
maz34
Totally agree, the organization is flawed, but I wouldn't trade anything in the world for the camaraderie.
SwissyJim
Has anyone gotten any info on the material and testing done on these? Are the bolts Carpenter158 steel? Are they individually or batch tested? MPI? HPT? preferrably both? I could not get any info on them and would like to kow before I buy. If anyone has one, what is stamped on them, if anything? That's the problem with going thru an armorer's course... you learn too much! LOL ETA: oh yeah... to anyone that has, is or will serve - YOU ROCK. vtecpaoche
I would venture to say that these are the same ones listed for sale on Harris Tactical which is a reseller for Elite Tactical Advantage. From HT's website, it states the bolt is Carpenter 158 steel, case hardened, shot peened, magnetic particle inspected. Does not state if it was batch or individually tested. Best bet is to message the seller directly on GB. I've already bit the bullet and purchased one though. It should be arriving tomorrow. SwissyJim
I saw the HT site... if they are the same, then worth a try. I did message the GunBroker seller to see what they say... When you get it, I'd be curious to hear your impressions and what is stamped on it.... MPI, MP, anything, nothing...
jrtMA
The info on HT seems to describe it as a solid product. I didn't see any stamps on mine. The person I spoke to on the phone was great but the company is not good responding to emails. I took a leap of faith. vtecpaoche
Just got it today. No markings on mine either. It does pass the go/no go 308 gauge test on my barrel so I'm pretty happy.
