Microgunner
Ordered a Beretta Nano last Sunday and it was waiting for me at work today. This is the first Nano I've handled and so far I'm reasonably impressed. It's small, almost exactly the same size as the Kahr PM9 but slightly thinner, I think, and slightly heavier by about 2ozs. It's a nice looking pistol, typical Beretta, with an all flat black finish. The Nano has no manual slide lock, which is fine by me, but does lock open after the last round is fired. I prefer to release the slide slingshot style anyway. The pistol has no manual safety but does have a trigger safety and striker block a la Glock. The striker block pops up on top of the slide similar to it's full sized siblings. The front and rear sights can both be removed with the push of a recessed plunger. The fire control module and polymer grip frame can be easily seperated much like the SIG P250. I don't know if Beretta is planning conversions like the SIG P250. The Nano was shipped with one flush six round magazine and one eight round extended magazine with grip extension. The disassembly lever is also flush and operated with the rim of a 9mm casing, making both sides of the Nano slick as a baby's butt. There is a flush striker release button on the right side of the frame for disassembly purposes. The trigger is long and kinda heavy, reminiscent of a DA revolver trigger, but I've had no trouble holding on target with a Laser Ammo practice laser installed in the chamber. I've ordered a fitted leather holster for it and am looking forward to carrying it just as soon as it proves itself. I'm liking this little pistol so far. sketch
I used the nano for about a year and never had any issues except the trigger as you stated. I got out of 9mm and moved up to 45mm but would consider it a top choice in that caliber. Congrats
Microgunner
Just found out that Beretta sells grip frames for the Nano in four colors @ $39 each. Pink, black, flat dark earth and olive drab. You know I gotta order the FDE.
