eagle10
Does anyone make flip open scope covers for a 56mm objective lens? I went to Butler Creek, but couldn't make heads or tails of their site over there, thanks for any help.
imschur
I would think the #39 would work. Leupold also list 56mm in there Alumina line
BLKSHEEP
Butler Creek- I wasn't sure of your eye piece size so I couldn't mark it.
eagle10
Thank you both!! How do I figure out the eyepiece size?? Get someone to mic it?
planeflyer21
Thank you both!! How do I figure out the eyepiece size?? Get someone to mic it? That's the most accurate way, as the guide is just a general suggestion. Unless the store will let you stand there with your scope and try the different ones on your scope. eagle10
Ok so I borrowed a digital mic, a good one Brown/Sharpe, it is calibrated. I measured the front outside objective lens area and came up with 65MM or 2.559 inches and on the eyepiece I came up with 44MM or 1.7365 inches, does this sound right and if so, according to the Butler Creek chart I would need a #19 Eyepiece and a #61 Objective, does that sound right??? The scope is a new one from Nightforce it is the ATACR scope 5-25x56. Edited August 12, 2013 by eagle10
unforgiven
I got butler creek for my scope they are rubber and strech a bit.On the objective lens I got it on but cover wouldn't stay shut so I had to drop down one size and it worked. My lens were smaller than you'r though.Maybe if you could get someone on the phone?? I had gone to Cabelas and was able to go back and change for the right size.I had trouble with the chart they have also.

imschur
I wish the premium scope manufacturers would thread the scopes like Leupold. The Alumina covers are awesome.
eagle10
Well the guy from Nightforce called me back and the OD measurements I took were dead on, so if I go with Butler Creek, then it would be #19 & # 51 respectively. I do like those "Alumina" ones, nice looking and will take a look at the above Weaver brand. Thanks for the suggestions and help.
