Odd lot of ammo

Friends,

 

I just got some ammo from a friend, cheap, and wonder if anyone here can tell me something about it, like manufacturer, load, etc.

 

It comes in brown 'manila' cardboard boxes of 20 rds. each, marked:

 

20 ROUND 7,62mm BALL BF 08-32

 

and a symbol which is a circle with a cross in it.

 

Each cartridge is marked:

 

BF    80     32

 

and a symbol which is a circle with a cross in it.

 

Know anything about this stuff?

 

P.S. I thought there was a sub-forum here called "Ammo" but couldn't find it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This is most likely M80 NATO (because of the head stamp,circle with a cross) 147 gr I believe. May want to try google foo to see if you can find a date and place of origin....
