beachmaster
How do you tell the difference visually between the normal dpms upper and the light? Im not talking about the special receiver, the light receiver has a shell deflector, forward assist, and dust cover.
blue109
Never heard of different weight uppers. Have a link to share?
beachmaster
Sure, ill get it up in the morning, but they have the two on their website. They advertise their normal upper at 1.5lbs, and the light weight at 1lbs. I think there is a $60 difference
beachmaster
The 3g1 comes with their right weight upper.

beachmaster
http://www.dpmsinc.com/Upper-Receiver_c_398.html This is their selection if upper receivers, and right next to each other, you will see the a3 upper, and the a3 light weight upper. Normal is $210, light is $

beachmaster
Own it, love it, operate it! Haha, once I get her running, that is exactly what I am going to do! Im still waiting on an entire buffer assembly. Im sure I will feel alot better about it once im behind the trigger :-) Some day I would like to swap the upper. I am talking more distant future... but I just wanted to see if anybody had the lightweight upper and had pictures, and a comparo between it and the normal upper. beachmaster
I might consider that after everything is working properly. I have to weight my options between what it will cost for me to get this rifle to where I want it, and what it would cost to get another rifle to where I want it lol But I wont sell it unless everything is working perfectly... I don't know why I seem to attract other peoples problems, fix them, and sell them at no profit, but there it is lol
