gnt0311
Hi new here, just built my DPMS 308 lower, looking for a complete upper ideas? makers? I want to get n 18inch upper for it. I think the bull barrel would be heavy on long hikes for hunting. Also flash sup due to size of barrel
BLKSHEEP
Welcome from Louisiana! Unless you're going to be shooting long range(500+) I'd recommend a 16" barrel to keep the weight down for hunting. I really like this upper> http://www.midwayusa.com/product/583358/dpms-lr-308-recon-a3-flat-top-upper-assembly-308-winchester-1-in-10-twist-16-barrel-quad-rail-handguard-lo-profile-gas-block-flash-hider

BLKSHEEP
308AR's and cheap don't usually mix well. This is likely the cheapest factory built DPMS compatible uppers out there... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/361133/dpms-lr-308-oracle-a3-flat-top-upper-assembly-308-winchester-1-in-10-twist-16-heavy-contour-barrel-chrome-moly-matte-with-glacierguard-handguard-single-rail-gas-block-flash-hider?cm_vc=ProductFinding http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-amp-action-parts/receivers/upper-receivers/lr-308-oracle-upper-receiver-assembly-sku231000349-26619-126181.aspx
txbdyguard
Amen Blacksheep. Two words not to be said in the same sentence LR308 and cheap. I figure they are about 3x the cost of AR15
NoFail
They are 3x if I buy the parts, tx. I can't control self, but you can do one for twice as much or little less, at least I could have when I did mine, but.....
