Si defense or jd upper

Hello guys any experience with these? They cost about the same. Any one better or both gtg?

I'm a pretty impatient person, been waiting for tm upper but idk how mucho longer i can wait haha.

I have an SI Defense Gen II , Billet ,Upper receiver , its got the extra ,short ,rail on the left side  I just removed it from my 16 " Barrel . Very nicely made .

I used a SI Defense matched upper and lower on my last build and the quality is first rate.  I had zero problems during the build and have had zero problems with the build out at the range.  So since I'm a treat me right and give me a good product kinda person I would go with the SI Defense. Just my 2 cents

Fyi, they use the older, high-rail height on their uppers.

What the heck do you put on a side rail at THAT location?

I can only assume iron sights, simple dot sight maybe only thing i can think of
