texas30cal
I have read that some early springfields (not sure of serial no range) are not supposed to be fired bc of heat treatment issues, not sure which part, do you know if this is true and if it falls outside that range? What is the barrel like? Edited April 7, 2014 by texas30cal
planeflyer21
This receiver is WELL above the faulty receiver range. Barrel looks good and is in good shape. The rifle shoots well.

Tripledeuce
Remingtons were NEVER involved with the cracked reciever problem, Springfield Arsenel under 800,000. or Rock Island under 300,000. planeflyer21
What year of production? Will you ship it? June, 1943: http://www.remingtonsociety.com/images/Remington_SN_Table-03_and_A3-2005.pdf Yes, ship to FFL or to you if you have a C&R, for actual shipping & handling cost. That ammo isn't the heaviest but not the lightest either.
