Cali_Ed Posted June 5, 2014 Report Share Posted June 5, 2014 Hello guys, So here is my problem, I have two bolts one that came with my barrel a a jp match bolt. I also have a shadow ops weaponry bolt that came with my bcg. Is there really any difference between the two of these in the sense of possible accuracy? Or are they both gtg? survivalshop Posted June 5, 2014 Report Share Posted June 5, 2014 Just to clarify , if the bolt came with your JP barrel , more than likely it was head spaced by JP. Masgtions99 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Share Posted June 8, 2014 Headspacing is one missunderstood subject. The headspacing is set by the barrel extension when it is manufactured and assembled. Most major manufactures will give you the specs they used when building the combination. I've found that headspacing isues are a rare occasion but the Motto I was taught way back when was "When it doubt check it out" A a local smith will usually check the headspace for cheap, much cheaper than the gauges usually!
