  1. Yeah me too. I am sure a round of 00 buckshot will take it down quick. <thumbsup> It looks like a mean thing but it is still flown by operator and a little off at first when it fires plus it is LOUD so you have half a chance knowing it is coming. :auto:
  2. This is so crazy. ;D This is basically a 4 rotor helicopter with a camera and a full auto 100 round gun + self destruct flown by a tablet device. I am sure some of you have seen this but for those who have not here it is.... I had to watch this a couple times. <munch> I wonder what these cost? LOL
  3. Thanks. I am finding YouTube bids on the rifle and also discovering exactly what you said about the many variations. I am going to have to get it here from out of state before I can know or do anything. Most important to me is that it was my Grandfathers gun. If it can be made to function that is just a bonus. I know it is missing at least one spring, because my cousin told me it took off a cross the room when he tried to clean it. I also am thinking he applied solvent but never put any oil back on.....
  4. As soon as I have the rifle I will get more pics. For now it is a long way off but I hope to change that in the next few weeks. I am excited about it. This is significantly older than myself. Is it considered antique?
  5. Well my Grandpa left me a old firearm. Specifically a Stevens model 87A .22 calibur short, long, long rifle auto-loading. It even has a old scope on it. I was not able to go to his funeral but my cousin picked up the 22 for me. The then thought he was going to clean it up some before I got it and it sounds like he made several errors. One of which involved leaving solvent on the gun and placing it in a foam case. The other was that he tried to take it apart to clean. Now part of the gun is in a bag and some is missing. All I have to identify the rifle where from some photos he sent me and then using a search engine. From what I can see and read this gun can do both semi auto and bolt action. I just have to find a low cost way to get it from a FFL there to me. I just got out of the hospital from a battle with pneumonia so I have not yet learned the best way to do this but A friend may be able to point me in the right direction to save some cash. I will attach a couple of photos for you to look over. They are not ultra clear but they show some numbers and some general features. I know I will have to locate some parts or just have a wall hanger, then again it may not be as bad as he thinks. I hope to find out soon. I am not sure when it was made. from what I can read it could be from anywhere 1938 - 1945 but one of these numbers indicates 1942? Not sure, but it is old. I would love to heard what you folks think. I am sure to need help to restore it on an extremely limited budget. Thanks
  6. Copied from: http://www.appleroguetimes.com/two_supreme_court_decisions_the_.htm TWO SUPREME COURT DECISIONS THE ANTI-GUNNERS DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE by Carl F. Worden January 15, 2013 There are two Supreme Court rulings that directly relate to the current anti-Assault Weapon issue everyone needs to be reminded of. The first is United States v. Miller 1939. Miller possessed a sawed-off shotgun banned under the National Firearms Act. He argued that he had a right to bear the weapon under the Second Amendment, but the Supreme Court ruled against him. Why? At the time, sawed-off shotguns were not being used in a military application, and the Supremes ruled that since it didn't, it was not protected. Even though Miller lost that argument, the Miller case set the precedent that protected firearms have a military, and thus a legitimate and protected Militia use. The military now uses shotguns regularly, but not very short, sawed-off shotguns, but an AR-15/AK-47 type weapon is currently in use by the military, therefore it is a protected weapon for the Unorganized Militia, which includes just about every American citizen now that both age and sex discrimination are illegal. (The original Militia included men of age 17-45) Therefore any firearm that is applicable to military use is clearly protected under Article II, and that includes all those nasty-looking semi-automatic black rifles, including full 30 round magazines. The second important case is that of John Bad Elk v. United States from 1900. In that case, an attempt was made to arrest Mr. Bad Elk without probable cause, and Mr. Bad Elk killed a policeman who was attempting the false arrest. Bad Elk had been found guilty and sentenced to death. However, the Supreme Court ruled that Bad Elk had the right to use any force, including lethal force, to prevent his false arrest, even if the policeman was only trying to arrest him and not kill him. Basically, the Supremes of the day ruled that as a citizen, you have the right to defend against your civil rights being violated using ANY force necessary to prevent the violation, even if the offending party isn't trying to kill you. Both of these cases are standing law to this day. The Miller decision clearly includes AR-15/AK-47 type weapons as having a military application. The Bad Elk decision means that if the government tries to confiscate your AR-15/AK-47, or arrest you for having one, you can kill the offenders on the spot, even if they are not trying to kill you. I didn't make these decisions; the United States Supreme Court did. by Carl F. Worden
  7. Heh heh I snagged it off of FB. It is making its rounds. <thumbsup>
  8. :o
  9. <lmao> now that's funny right there I tell you what. <thumbsup>
  10. I must be missing something. Why do I want aluminum? That is a lightweight alloy and I need lead to make buckshot / slugs / bullets. <dontknow>
  11. That's a great idea. Lead is too expensive. Then again it is all about where you look. I had to find this at a fishing supply store just to get a better price, plus they gave me FREE shipping. All the firearm places were charging a lot more and wanted top dollar for shipping. Right now the industry has Barry jacking :strokin: up demand and prices. At least with this I can make my own buckshot, slugs and bullets. I already have my 00 buckshot mold from http://www.buckshotmold.com/ and it looks to be a good one. <thumbsup> Other sizes can come later. Next up will be a slug mold. There are several makes and models and it is hard to decide which one. I have an idea which one but not 100% sure. This is all so I can keep my Mossberg 930 fed, and it can eat! :hunter: Thankfully I ordered my magazine tube extension from Nordic Components before the Intuit merchant services / Chase foul up. Gives that "Chase freedom" commercial an entirely different meaning. :cookoo:
  12. Lee Production Pot IV: Large, deep pot holds approximately 10 pounds of lead. Melt time is less than 20 minutes. Pour spout up front where it belongs so you can see what you're doing. Infinite heat control. Uses only 500 watts of power during heat-up and a lot less to maintain temperature. Large, stable base for safety. 4" of clearance under the spout is high enough to accept all brands of bullet molds :auto: and most sinker molds. Melter is capable of reaching 900 degrees Fahrenheit. :sniper:
  13. I got this off FaceBook posted by Nordic Components: NOTICE: We are unable to process credit card transactions at this time. Intuit Merchant Services has told us that they will NOT process anymore transactions and may put a freeze our accounts because we sell firearms related products. I was told that they are backed by Chase Banks. DO NOT conduct business with these financial institutions if you care about the Constitution of the United States, the Second Amendment or your RIGHTS as a firearms owner. We, as firearms owners, are under attack. I wonder how many of these anti-gun banks received Bail-out money from the current administration? We are working on getting set up with a firearm friendly processor and hope to be back on line to serve you quickly. The Banks and the Liberals are trying to take our country down piece by piece. We have to stand together and fight this or we have already lost. Get off the fence and do what you can to support the good fight. Make purchases, donations to pro 2nd amendment org's and what ever you can think of that can help. This is just the beginning of the fight so we need to get strong FAST. The other side has been planning a long time and has $ in the background to help them. I urge all of you to buy food, water Guns and Ammo and get as much as you can get. If all you can afford is a sling shot then get one or ten and plenty of ball bearings or rocks. Talk to as many people who think as we do. We have the numbers, we just don't have $. Together we can do something and win this. Please help our country... I know that I don't have a lot of $ but I have a PC a printer, envelopes and stamps. I know my Rep. I have met the new Governor of NC. I have met several Judges during campaign season. I know our local Sheriff and several Deputies. We need to build momentum and win this fight. I am fired up right now and hope this holds until tomorrow (I know it will). Many of you are military and LEO or retired from such. We all have this fight in common. Ammo in short supply in your area? Is what little there is very expensive now? Well now it is time to learn how to make your own loads. We all have something we can teach each other. This could go down as a peaceable act or maybe it won't. I hope we can drive the liberals back where they hide by just speaking to them. Somehow it could be much worse than that. Store up water, non-perishable food , firearms and ammo. I am sure many of you can think of more items we need to stock up on, like 1st aid and fuel. Get back to Church and pray that God, creator of all that is known and unknown, provides us wisdom and everything we need to do his will. I have found many videos in the past week but as of now they pale compared to this. Walls have ears and so does your PC and phone. Face to face and don't use plastic. You may have to use cash for a while, or trade that for something real like gold or silver. Most important - stick together and PRAY. I don't normally write like this but this is really important. I am sure I have left out a lot and may not have a proper outline but I am sure you can figure it out :) Remember Nordic is not the only company facing this enemy of the state.... I know a lot of you and fellow Americans took an oath to protect the constitution from ALL enemies Foreign and DOMESTIC. The enemy will and has already started to change the constitution to fit their agenda. It is dirty pool they are playing but we have plenty of smart people too :) I pray for peace, hope for the best and plan for something I hope never comes...
  14. Welcome from NC
  15. <thumbsup> Like it ;D
  16. I ordered a +3 Nordic Components tube for my Mossy 930 direct from them. I had ordered it from another vendor (listed on this site) but it was out of stock for them. I waited and then the expected in stock date got pushed back again so I canceled and order from NC. I love that Tube! When I get another barrel I will get another NC too. I sure would like one of those clamps with a rail.....
  17. Welcome from NC
  18. Nice! I have a bird feeder some the birds like a lot but this one I have they wouldn't like it at all. I have not given it to them yet. It is my Mossy 500A <lmao>
  19. I just ordered some Jello shooters. I hope they come with all the proper paperwork.
  20. We made it!!! yeaaaaa! <lmao>
  21. Shepp thanks for that. I am going to share that on FB.
  22. Weeeeelllllll that can't be right. To many people have been born to not have any make it out alive. Hahahaha ummm OK too much coffee.
  23. Until recently I had not played a video game (except solitaire or blackjack) in 25 years. Never could afford them. My wife knew I liked the commercials for Call of Duty so she got me the PC version. The graphics are fantastic. Another thing I like about the game I never expected, is the Zombie game. So that makes 3 games (sort of) the single player, the on-line muli and the zombie. One thing I did not know is that you have to have internet no matter which you are going to play. Your not alone in playing these in short bursts of time. I can not do it myself so I am glad it is not 25 cents a go like it was back in the day.
