  1. OK thanks. Some 1911 and all Glock. I have wanted both of them for some time. I have a Rugrer P85 so I am not sure if i want another 9mm but once I see it in my hand who knows.
  2. Does that mean any 1911 or Glock can be converted? I don't know much about these things. (Obviously LOL). Thanks for the help. Once I find the right handgun I can save fr it and then for the rest. This is a long term plan for sure.
  3. OK I am sure you know. I want to know of a 40 cal magnum that can be converted to a 22 and back as needed? I eventually would like a 1911 that can also be converted to a 22. It doesn't have to be a desert eagle but I can dream right? If not can you tell me of something that could? I would like to have a hand gun with stopping power that I can quickly convert to a 22 for cheep target practice.
  4. Yuuuuuum baaaacon.
  5. Thank. My tablet & I must of has a senior moment. Haha
  6. I wasn't allowed to buy my customary box of bullets tonight and I am so bummed. I am sure you can relate. Now I might have gotten away with it if I had been alone and gotten it. "Ammo sales are final". That was a rule made by a guy who had his wife make him return a box. You see where I am headed with this ... now tomorrow I have errands to do and ..... well I might forget what was said and think it is OK then. LOL
  7. I realize this is old news to many of you but that is pretty dang handy. A personel website bot shopper spider. 8)
  8. I can't stop thinking about that drum! When I first got my 308 I actually was disappointed I could not find a mag that held more than 20 rounds.... so I got a bunch of them. Will likely get more down the road. Now this comes out. /me does Homer droole
  9. http://cheaperthandirt.com/blog/?p=21450 Copied from above URL: At the First Silencers Are Legal Shoot on April 28, 2012, SureFire showed us a brand new suppressor design, the SOCOM 556-RC. This silencer is so new, there is no mention of it yet on SureFire’s own website. SureFire representatives kindly allowed us to take photos and video of the impressive fast attach system. SureFire told us that this new design is so good, they are planning on switching over their entire line of rifle silencers to fall in line with the new features first seen here. More on the page link mentioned above.
  10. I have Benny hill song for a ring tone/alert. LOL brings back memories of an age gone by.
  11. Wow. I want to have it "just in case" but can you imagine how much it would weigh full? OMG Then there is the cost. PMAGS change out quickly and are much cheeper. Then again there is the cool factor... bottom line I must wait. I will wait. Oh that is cool. Sure am glad I don't have plastic. Nice. Haha!
  12. Lots of good info. When I get to upgrade (if needed) I will follow this guide. I hope soon I can find a range to shoot at some distance, LOL.
  13. I will have to put that on my list. I have heard so much about that. I ALWAYS research computer parts and electronic stuff before I buy, even my vehicles, but I sure did not dig enough before I got my 22. Thankfully I did some before I got my 308, no regrets there.
  14. Oh OK. I thought it was something like that.
  15. Thanks. Lots of good people here. :-) I hope to make some new friends.
  16. Just wondering what the yellow square blocks are under the names and why have more? I am guessing it has something to do with the number of posts?
  17. The violence in Mexico is not because America makes or sells guns. It is because of the cartells in Mexico killing to make more $$ period. There are plenty of guns coming in to Mexico from the south too but they don't talk about that. If you could take away the $$ then the killing would not be at these levels. Alcohol prohibition didn't work and lead to increasing violence, so is this drug WAR. So how would or could you take the $$ out of the equation? I can only think to control some drugs as is done with alcohol now. I think it could be done with MJ which I believe is the bigger cash cow. It is not about the guns. They are just a tool, used in this case improperly.
  18. Welcome!
  19. I traded a pair of used RTR series IV speakers for my Mossberg. I just checked the factory engraving and it is a 500A. I don't know if it is old or rare but I find no mention of an Mossberg 500A when I google it. <dontknow> maybe someone here has knowledge to share?
  20. Thanks. I am glad that before this happened I was a prepper. We have used up all our savings now and are now eating our food stores. We have gotten help from friends, family and the church all without out asking for help. God bless everyone who has been so generous toward us. I did not ask for this but we are dealing with it the best we can.
  21. Thanks. God has provided so far and I expect he will continue.
  22. Nice rifle <thumbsup>
  23. OK, I was a computer tech. Was replaced by a displaced brother of the boss. So with a wife to support I was for ed to take a third shift job as a stock clerk. After 6 months I made full time. Made it up to lead stocker and then they did a store remodel. I was exposed to chemical fumes and now I can't breath. Down to <45% lung capacity. Some days are better than others. The company initiated the worker comp claim, forced me to go to their Dr. He saw how bad I was wrote me out of work with notes I had to see a pulmonary Dr. Then the company decided to deny the claim. I then filed for short term disability on my insurance (company provided). They DENIED that claim too. I hired a lawyer and suddenly my short term was approved at 60% pay. Now it has been 26 weeks and the short term expires. A long term disability claim is opened which pays 40% for an entire 4 months.... they cancel my insurance policy just before it starts. My meds cost around $1400 a month. We are awaiting mediation. My lawyer is also filing for SS Disability benifits. My wife was forced to get a job and will probably need to get a part time one as well while we stugle to get past this. We are only 2 years from having the house paid for and the bank is not willing to help us. I hate BoA. I pray that the mediation results in enough to pay off the vehicals and the house with enough left to cover my meds until I can get Medicaid & my SS disability. So now I have to re invent myself. I get so out of breath doing the simplest things. TV, eating and shooting off the deck are about it. 5 minutes outside and I am having problems so my target practice is very short. I have my tablet PC to get online. Can't sit in a desk chair to long because of a siatic nerve thing and something called avascular necerosis in my other hip. I am not asking or speaking sympathy, just sharing. I don't tell to may people I know about all this crap. I figured I could share it here and at least be able o get it out. itelluwhat that's a lot of typing LOL
  24. I picked up a newer Remington 597, & even a couple of the 30 round magazines. I have read a lot of older bad reviews of this gun (after my purchase of course). Honestly can tell you I have never had a feed problem out of it. I liked it so much it led me to look at Bushmaster and finally my new 308 ORC. Which I love too but shoot the 22 more to save $ on ammo mostly. The 308 is more FUN to blast, I mean shoot. LOL
  25. Thanks again :-)
