I too just ordered 2- stnd long pockets for my LF RAID ( gonna use them for ammo, MK4 spotter, tripod & mesh net ) I've got a Kif MC E&E attch to the exterior for more ammo & my TC Viper ghille kit. On one of the other sites I frequent, they had an article on a breaching tool; ITS Tactical = FASTMAX Breacher I purchased it and made the mod's, This, I'm hoping will fit in a converted mag pouch w/ a 2" pvc joint, then attached somewhere on my RAID for easy access, incase it all goes to crap and at some point I need to breach something or wack-a-Zombie all up close'n personal like... I also just ordered me a Precision Rifle solitions med-sized tripod. The manfrotto option was way to expensive, at the moment, and I needed something "packable"

Ok guys. I've concluded that I am more of a tradionalist when it comes to my AR-10. ( love the SR-25 look too much to go all kool-aid ) So I am selling off my 2- magpul ubber-riffic stocks. ( pics will follow later ) 1- MP PRS ( 308 type ) FDE and I will include a Atlas mono-pod. 275 + shipping I ran the PRS on my AR-10 for 'bout 1-yr, there is little use on it. no signs of wear. 1- MP UBR FDE. [puchased from 762sass.com] will include short heavy buffer & spring. + the enhanced butt plate ( all mounting hardware included ) 275 + shipping The UBR was placed on my AR-10, but not used AT ALL, just not "diggin" it. YEP STATE LAW. to be more clear. in IL - One can not be in possesion of Ammunition w/o a FOID card. Say- even if your wife [in IL] wanted to buy you ammo - any type for your class of Firearm, she must have a FOID card inorder to do so. And internet Ammo retailers, know this and ask for it [ a photocopy ]. Some of the local shops wont even allow you to HOLD / TOUCH a Firearm unless you have a FOID. So that means that NO out-of-state 'guest" could even consider shopping at said store.

Joe BLOW LEA already has to conduct the background for the FOID and you submit the app to the State PD. SO this is much like posting ( on the net ) the Towns and adresses of Sex Offenders. A point that was made by my Gun Clubs Prez, on our forums. In IL - it is encouraged that even if your wife doesnt own a Firearm, she should have one for the mere fact that if by chance she is pulled over and you happen to have left ammo in that vehicle, if by any means a search is conducted and they [LEO] finds it, she is arrested for not having propper ID for transporting ammuntion within the state ( happen to a GC member ). And for the minors in the state that have a FOID for the mere sport of the matter.... Can someone just NUKE us and start over ( The Jericho Project ) ? ? !!!!!!

here's a qucik lil'note to add to the Fukn IL issue. At my job, All Security Force members MUST have a FOID card for employment. So... We have many out here, that work at all the other Nuke Plants, that Do NOT OWN FIREARMS, but must have a card. So now their information is public with LACK OF KNOWLEDGE on the States part. I have ashit-ton of proof that just because you have a FOID card does not necessarily constitue you OWN a Firearm. I HATE THIS fornicate'n state !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I lied.... no before pic ( just picture the PRS inplace of the UBR ) There was a topic of PRS vs UBR over on M4C. And someone stated that the UBR has a greater length of pull then the PRS and darn-toot'n he was right. There is a preset position at the very end of the stock, activated by the left side "release" button ( tho this side is labeled "preset" ) which extends the UBR out just past the full LOP of the PRS and add the extended buttpad and you get more, close to an inch. I didnt have a need for the cheek riser on the PRS so my weld, so far at the house is the same. We'll see once at the Range. I'm thinking of hitting the Range tomorrow night, for some night fire and to see just how well the SF M620v works. Probably just use the 200yd range w/ my new steel.

Enroute: MP UBR ( ditching the PRS ) w/ new buffer & spring Leupold Tac -Spotting Scope mil-dot ffp Galati drag bag manfotto tripod head mount w/ the LaRue made Rail adaptor. Am I forgetting anything 8) pics will be up once the refit is done w/ before and after pics.

Can you even get a 1:7 twist for a 308 ? ? thats alot of spin for a 308 round Why 18 vs 20, coming from someone who had an Armalite 20" cut down to 18". I'm not a hard data tester, but this past fall when I was out w/ a Guy who loads his own. He lent me his chrono for a few shots and compared to a 20" 308 1:11, using BH 168g BTHP I was at a dead 2600 fps, which is oddly close to the norm for that load out of a 20"

Guys are based out of TX, I beleive. The purchase once shot ( spent ) brass from local in-door clubs and load them themselves. I've heard good things, but.... I'm sure those were bias opinions. I am willing to purchase a few boxes of their ammo anytime. Once I get my DL to match my info on my IL FOID card. As they wont ship to me unless both my addresses are current. RULES... ( roll-eyes )

Wondering if I [we] could have a moment of your time. OK, I'm sure you have seen the TONS of other forums that mention the whole 308 mag issues, MAGPUL etc.... Just gotta ask, ok, the AR-10 mags are great, but why havent, even Armalite designed a lighter plastic / polymer type? I see even tapco has come out w/ a plastic mag for the 556. Why are we ( 308'rs ) left out? So why havent yall jumped on the bandwagon of tacti-cool-ness ? ? ? Just wondering ?
