Hiya! great scope...be sure and go to the nikon website....they have software called spot on... lets you choose bullets, scopes,and sight in ranges...works like a champ! :) Wash

Hi Guys After a false start last Saturday lil blackie is gtg! she's a mega with a dpms sass 18" barrel,dpms chrome bolt,rr nm match trigger,troy extreme rail,tubbs spring,dpms buffer,a2 stock for now,and a nikon 6x18x40 scope... the target pic is last twenty rds of german dag 762....shoots low and right compared to the federal 180gr power shok....lil blackie likes the 180 grain fed 308 stuff much better! in my false start last Saturday privi 150 gr was causing probs....no more privi for lil blackie! :) Wash

Hi Guys Got headspace gauges coming,but i couldnt stand it. soo after installing a bravo gunfighter charge handle went to the range and shot 100 rds of assorted ammo federal xm80,german dag,federal power shok in 308 both 150gr and 180gr....no swipes,no blown primers no nuthin im thinkin privi partizen suks! :) Wash

Better Late Than Never...and im always a day late and a dollar short...lol So, ive got my head space gauges coming...only after I popped some primers.....took the new beast out...functioned fine held bolt open every time after loading one.I then proceeded to shoot privi partizen 150grain soft point first box no probs no swipes brass looks good....shot some German Dag oh yeah it screams.....then went gack to a new box of privi 308....daaamn blown primers...then a bcg lockup...primer piece stuck found only after range officer beat the crap out of my charging handle rendering it useless trying to unlock it....got a gunfighter on the way and headpace gauge...but I really do think its the crap privi ammo btw the sass barrel is 762 :) Wash

Hi Guys I took my new mega out for its first outing.....warning warning never let the range officer hit your brand new piece with a rubber mallet! Heres what happened: dpms sass 18", mega ma10,dpms chrome bolt,rr nm trigger,troy extreme rail,rifle buffer,nikon 6x18x40 scope.....soo shot one round privi soft point,,,bolt locks back functions are okay,,, then shoot 40 rds privi soft point,,,,then go to Greman dag....oh yeah everything is fine...go back and shoot privi...ruh row blown primers....so im lookin at all the cases no swipes shoot another few rds then the bcg is locked up....go get range officer,he brings a big rubber mallet and proceeds to knock the crap out of the charging handle unlocking the bcg....so okay he leaves and im trying to work the bcg and its like hung up....pack up my stuff go to the casa and remove the a2 stock buffer tube and spring...now im able to brak open the mega...i find a piece of brass from the blown primer yep it was causing the bcg lockup.So new charging handle on the way but ive got questions....i googled and found it out that privi can have blown primers....what do you guys think? Chamber looks good dag shot well first 40 of privi shot well....im kinda freakin been building ar's since 1992 and never had this happen ! ps dont let anyone hit your piece with a mallet!!!! :) Wash

Hi 98Z5V oooops I ment whats a good car stock to lighten the weight? And a note on the first rounds through the new build....shot a box of privi soft point..no problemos....shot some dag surplus....no problemos.... shot another box of privi partizen soft point had some blown primers....wtf? then I guess a particle got wedged in bcg...so it was locked up....put rifle on bench called range officer over....he then took a rubber hammer and whacked the charging handle which then unlocked the bcg and nicley bent the charging handle and caused a lockup furhter down ....geeeez i promptly left the range to go back home and finished removing the bcg.......geez now i ive got to order another charging handle......sheesh I think the privi is the cause i googled and found out that some batches had blown primer symptoms....surely not a headspace problemo never never had this happen to a new build been doing builds since 1992 geeeez :) Wash

If it wasnt for this fine forum I wouldnt have built one. the rifle is for my girlfriend....you think she will let me shoot it? lol I had some a2 stocks laying around,so thats why its on... Whats your opinon on carbine adjustable stocks? Both of my 6.8's have them, but im thinkin the fixed might be a little bit more balanced? :) Wash

Hi Guys! what made me go to the 308? peer pressure lol I swore i would never do a 308...i just got through building two 6.8 spc's thinking that would be just fine...no heavy gun for me...lol So, yesterday I ordered a mega ma 10,a dpms sass 18" barrel,chrome bolt, troy extrme battle rail,and rr match trigger to go along with the rest of the lower stuff......I swear no more rifles for me!
