  1. Great question there! Jon
  2. They aren't pets. Take 'em out and let them do what they're bred to do. Jon
  3. When AZDoC switched from revolvers to Glock 19s three "range masters" shot themselves in their own hands. Time to review that whole "safe direction" thinking. Jon
  4. Read another article about the fire captain that happened to be there and performed BLS. That article said it was a manual tile saw. :ugone2far: Jon
  5. The Remington Ilion facility is like a large town. Or a small city. No way in hell they're moving thousands and thousands of workers, their families, all the equipment and tooling, etc. I seem to remember saying something about those companies with major military contracts would stay put. Colt lost, is probably moving. Remington won and will stay. Jon
  6. Graphic. One of the RSOs on a range where I shoot did that with a .32acp recently...but he hit no bone, tendon, nor muscle. I strained my hand at the beginning of last week and it has been hurting...until I saw that photo. Jon
  7. I'm set. Jon

  9. Jonathan Winters died peacefully at 87. His expressions and tone was pretty funny when I was a kid. As an adult his humor was awesome and ahead of its time. Jon
  10. I had an early Kimber Stainless Custom (when they were all "Model 70-style"). Already had the Springfield 1911A1SS (at the time the only current production SS 1911as AMT, Randall, et al had gone in-out-in-and-under). For twice as much money the first thing I noticed was the plastic MSH. But the Kimber was VERY tight and well built, no tooling marks and a smoother finish than the SA. It wouldn't shoot worth squat with ammo pushing less than 220gr bullets, any weight or brand. With the 230gr ammo it sometimes shot a little tighter than the SA. Sold it. I've tried a couple of Kimbers since that almost came home with me...but I couldn't pull the trigger. Jon
  11. Anyone ever use these? The idea of electronic fiat has never thrilled me. http://www.naturalnews.com/039880_bitcoin_bubble_panic_selling_accounts_frozen.html Jon
  12. Now that we're in the middle of Gouge Fest 2013, I'm looking at possibly reloading for .223/5.56. It looks like the low price range for quality bullets is $0.20/ea in bulk. Anyone have better prices elsewhere? Jon
  13. My '77 5/4 ton Dodge had a Carter 2-barrel on the 318. Once it got anywhere north of 80* here it could vapor lock at any time. So it VL'ed on me one day, in rush hour, on a two-lane street that has a center turn lane. Stalled out not quite a block from the light, so I was able to coast into the center turn lane and stop. Cars going my way were backed up to well past where the truck was sitting. After waiting a few minutes I tried cranking it, it still didn't want to start but it was a new battery and I thought "Just keep cranking!" After a couple of minutes I could feel it catch, which meant "Keep it floored brother!" Looking in the side-view mirror, there was a Ford Escort wagon, driver's window down and ON the car's bumper in front of him. Big fat 3" diameter solid black jet of smoke right in his window with a big "CHU-CHU-CHUG-BBRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!" <lmao> Like I was going to let it die after that. <dontknow> Jon
  14. http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/braless-best-study-says-bras-breasts-saggier-161300096.html Pass this on to all your women...bras are bad for the boobies! <thumbsup> Jon
  15. It's like you're psychic! <laughs> That was my next question. I was actually looking at those ATN NV scopes. Were you satisfied with the performance? Jon
  16. Good tips...kinda surprised me. Jon http://nedhardy.com/2013/04/08/22-things-a-burglar-would-never-tell-you/
  17. Anyone want to start a pool on how big the numbers will be? http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/04/11/horror-at-california-home-depot-as-man-cuts-own-arms-with-saws/ Those are already locked up in a cage device here. Jon
  18. ...BWWWUUUUUHHHHHHHHH!!! Jon
  19. You know, it's just wrong when the woman you're dating grabs your hand and sniffs, asking "You had salt-n-vinegar chips? I want some!" Jon
  20. The guy in the video was obviously learning. I'm wondering if there is some kind of alignment tool? Jon
  21. Jon
  22. Wow! That took a long time to get called out on no pic! Here it is...with the Sparrow Wolf. Jon
  23. Watching a video about mods a person had made to their LAR-8 on youtube. One of his additions was a RRA quad-rail handguard. He stated he was going to do it himself but the tool was $130, so he took it to the gunsmith...who had to purchase the tool anyway. Looking at the video this handguard attaches the same way as my Operator...loosen two allen screws, unscrew the handguard from the barrel nut. What, pray tell, is this special $130 tool needed to attach this forearm?! Jon
  24. AR rifles are the original lego platform. Most anyone with the mechanical aptitude to change a tire or set points (dating myself) can do most parts replacement. Jon
  25. That grill needs to slide back to reveal the mini-gun, mounted with an ability to articulate 20* right or left. Jon
