  1. Got the Marlin in .45 Colt, with a 16 1/4" barrel, punching out a 300gr JHP over 18gr of Lil' Gun. My Anaconda has to be one of the even fewer in .45 Colt. I'll let you try a few out of my Bisley Blackhawk! <thumbsup> Jon
  2. Welcome from Arizona, Scottly! Jon
  3. In an ideal world 7,000 grains = 1 pound, and the equation for the load works. You WILL lose some powder via spillage. Jon
  4. I'm not talking about the Hebrew word abed or abodah. I'm talking about the English word slave and from where it is derived. ORIGIN Middle English: shortening of Old French esclave, equivalent of medieval Latin sclava (feminine) ‘Slavic (captive)’: some South Slavic peoples had been reduced to a servile state by conquest in the 9th cent. Some researchers believe this is directly linked to the ongoing Jihad, since the 6th century A.D. Jon
  5. Trivia! From where does the word "slave" derive? This is a good read. http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-irish-slave-trade-the-forgotten-white-slaves/31076 Jon
  6. 4-40s are the machinist's bane. At one shop we had several regular jobs that required tapping holes in 17-series stainless, titanium, and some aluminum. Taps had a tendency to snap. Got so I'd check out multiple taps over a period of time, then change them frequently. They couldn't figure out why I did trouble-free runs. ;D Back to the pins. How much worth would you put on pin that can be pulled, versus it being sticking out all the time? Jon

    IWB

Is this the proper way to carry IWB? Jon
  8. ^^^^Golden truth. When everyone started experimenting with some of the new powders in .308, a surprising number ended upu in that range. ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR LOAD MANUAL!!! Jon
  9. Stolen shamelessly from another forum. Do not try to understand women. Women understand women and they hate each other. <lmao> Jon
  10. A majority of law enforcement, probably high-90%s, aren't "gun people". Beyond mandatory qualification, they don't shoot. What they do know (hopefully) is their issue pistol and long guns. Military too for that matter. Once we got to the fleet out job was to operate the aircraft carrier. But John Q. thinks everyone that was in the military is automatically a small arms expert. My big personal motivator was a job interview for a counter person/range master. I was asked two questions. What is an I-frame? What is a D-frame? "Sorry, we're really looking for a firearms enthusiast for this position." In the pre-internet world, I-frame was a bitch to find. But none of it should matter when coming to passing unconstitutional laws. Jon
  11. http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/02/dhs-raids-homeowner-confiscates-nearly-1500-guns-no-charges-filed/ No charges?! I bet you IF he ever gets his guns returned they are going to be non-collectable anymore! Jon
  12. <laughs> Extension condoms anyone? Not here. Most .22 Magnum ammo is about half the 5.7 ammo. If you reload for 5.7, that is a whole 'nother story! Jon
  13. They have a notice on their website: http://www.keltecweapons.com/news/pmr-30-ammo-recommendations-update I've not heard anyone complain about jamming. Give it another couple of inches of barrel and that would be a nasty surprise for badguys. Jon
  14. Grendel P30 1.2.2 <laughs> I wanted one...until I held one. The magazine reminds me of, well, nothing I've quite seen before. And it has a cheesy Euro-style mag release, on the bottom of the grip. Very flimsy. WTF was wrong with making the mag like the other Kel-Tec pistols? Jon
  15. That's the problem when laws are passed with clauses like "to be determined by bureaucrat-X". They can arbitrarily make anything illegal. Look at the importation clauses, the power they give BATF, and what they've done with that. Big stinky dog farts on that. "Well, we know we allowed SKSs to be imported with bayonets before but now we deem them to be too deadly." Hunh? Now various shotguns too? Chinese AKs can't be imported but European ones can? And Chinese M14 copies used to be ok but now they aren't? That whole agency needs to be dismantled and hanged. Jon
  16. Had a student awhile back that was hot for one of the Kel-Tec PMR-30 .22 Magnum semi-autos. Thought I'd look them up right now. When they get them, Sportsman's sells them for less than $400. http://www.gunbroker.com/Semi-Auto-Pistols/BI.aspx?Keywords=pmr+30 Jon
  17. You talking about the "armor piercing" bullcrap? Jon
  18. With Mohammed's head? Jon
  19. Good idea...but you don't think the network would refuse a pro-gun ad? Jon
  20. Not the best time to start, for the same reasons as now isn't the best time to buy an AR or stockpile ammo. It can be done though! I recommend anyone of the single-stage press "starter kits". With any of them you will need to get dies for your caliber, and possibly case trimmers or other small add-ons. Jon
  21. <lmao> Aloha akbahr! Jon
  22. At least the media is now open about their agenda. From the article, "Assault weapons that can fire numerous times in seconds are designed for only one thing: killing large numbers of people. The military and law enforcement officers need that ability; ordinary law-abiding citizens do not." http://www.examiner.com/article/government-prepares-for-war-with-the-people-and-mass-media-approves?CID=obinsite Jon
  23. Now the AP is busted fudging but hasn't said anything. Referring to the whack job that shot the school bus driver and is holed up with one of the students, they took their original AP article which said "...patrolled his yard with a shotgun," and changed it to "assault weapon". Then when they were called out on it, they quietly changed it again to "firearm". Turdwipes. Jon
  24. Move along! http://www.examiner.com/article/latest-accusation-hooker-scandal-menendez-likes-the-youngest-and-newest They were blasting away on this with local talk radio Friday. Why does the media give him a pass? Yup. Jon
  25. Watch it to the end: 46989a26a9992313fc350138f34ee57e Sorry, do not know how to snatch it off Facebook. Jon
