  1. Saw this with the following pic. Jon Come and listen to a story about a man named Obama A poor puppeteer, barely kept his country fed, He’s known far and wide for spreadin’ a lot of bull, But all that came to light was a bumblin’ fool. Well the first thing you know O'bamas a millionaire, Chicagoans said "Bummer move away from here" Said "White House is the place you ought to be" So they loaded up the truck and moved to DC. Washington DC, that is. A lot more fools, taxpaid cars!
  2. http://news.yahoo.com/ahmadinejad-unveils-irans-newest-fighter-jet-072733644.html Looks like Iran has reworked their F-5A Freedom Fighters into stealth ICBM interceptors! Jon
  3. <laughs> My eyes! Ze goggles do not verk! Jon
  4. Mernickle is taking the world by storm! And I still have yet to order one. :'( Jon
  5. <lmao> Nobody doesn't like dirty girls! Jon
  6. The first I heard of this was some bonehead posting Kyle had been "assassinated". Looked it up. Looks to me like they were trying to help a brother cope, who snapped. Bummer all the way around. Jon
  7. That's cool and good to know! He drives it out. Never seen them before. Thanks! Jon
  8. My buddy just got his Toy rock crawler hung up on his drive shaft. <lmao> "It looks like maybe it isn't straight anymore." Jon
  9. Seriously...when I went to the range yesterday with an unopened brick, I got more attention than waving around a handful of hundred dollar bills. Jon
  10. Powerman, I just put a new LP gasblock on the Freedom Machine. The instructions that came with it stated ALL but one type of their gasblock needed to be back from that step quite a ways...like 1/8" or something like that. Jon
  11. No, one-piece on the 4x4. Jon
  12. Done. After soaking the rust-welded peckers for a couple of hours, used the ol' socket and 2# hammer trick. Krikey! Didn't stop the new vibration. Must be one of my bearings. Somewhere. Asked my brother to come over tomorrow and ride in the bed to see if he can hear it. If not, we'll do a few high-speed runs with him on the hood. <laughs> He wasn't up for that. The girl knows how to install u-joints now. More than the boy across the street...but that was foregone with spark plugs and oil changes, brake pads and filters. Thanks for the offer bro! You know, the first u-joints I had to change were on my '59 F-100. They had "agricultural" u-joints on the drive shaft (clamps or U-bolts holding the u-joints in place). That was a breeze! Next time I had to change them was my surplused 5/4 ton M880 Dodge. Everyone was asking me "Who's going to change them for you?" Me, "What, little u-joints? I've done 'em before...no problem!" <lmao> That was probably sitting on Ft. Huachuca since 1980, 18 years before I got it. They were STUCK! Jon
  13. That's along the lines I thought when I saw the thread. Jon
  14. Yes, but I want a modernized version...say a 10-shot .357 Magnum with a 20guage in the center! Jon
  15. Well got the drive shaft out of the Ranger. Anyone that does pressing seems to be closed. I hope the new ones stop the vibration. Maybe I can talk the ladies into going to the range. Jon
  16. Or Momma! Someone brought this young lady up right! Jon
  17. Still with Pinky, right? Right?! You're makin' me panic bro! Jon
  18. Cool! I was talking about the Facebook page mentioned on the video. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Modern-Musket/332056260165856 They are having a contest right now too! Type in "My rifle is NOT an “assault weapon!” It is a modern musket." Then like all their sponsors. Jon
  19. Very much not WWII technology. 1980s is more like it. Aerostats originated as part of the "War on Drugs", more commonly called "radar ballons". These were placed along the mountainous and canyon laden Southern U.S. border with Mexico, in an attempt to alleviate drug trafficking via small airplanes. Radar coverage prior to that was geared towards monitoring commercial traffic at cruising altitudes or incoming bomber flights/ICBMs. As Tom pointed out, when the wind kicks up the balloons come down. And the drug flights go up. Cool trivia, the barrage balloons over Great Britain in WWII were flown to different altitudes and had cables suspended from them. Aircraft flying into the cables would be shredded. The concentrations of the balloons made a sort of aerial minefield. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrage_balloons Those would probably be more affordable and keep more people employed than high-tech aerostats. Jon
  20. Yeah! Twenty years ago the actions were ALL over the place. Now...not so much. Get a Shotgun News, see what you can find in there. Jon
  21. Gonna have to look up that Modern Musket page! Jon
  22. The one on Ft. Huachuca was only a few hundred yards from my Aunt's house, when she lived up there. Jon
