    Not PC

So this was our pre-school project this morning, watching all of these. Pretty entertaining!
  2. 308kiwi, here's another option for you: http://www.hobby-machinist.com A few of your countrymen are on that forum and do beautiful work! There are regional subforums and also a "Can You Make For Me" section. People do some absolutely beautiful machine work there, with machines professional production machinists scoff at while sneering down their noses. Could be worth a try.
  3. Wow! You guys look really good, Mike, for the 30 year reunion!
  4. That's great!
  5. That demo they used to do at the San Diego Zoo, with the spotted leopard. Had it jump UP onto a ledge to fetch a chunk of meat, 20' up from the ground.
  6. InRange series with Faxon:
  7. As soon as we're done filming POV operation training vids, I'll send those to you.
  8. You mean the Mexican red wolf? As a kid, the Sonoran Desert Museum (a zoo with all the wildlife in the Sonoran desert) had a Mexican red wolf display that was empty, with a big sign that said "EXTINCT" in front of it. Now there is one on display. So much for extinction being permanent.
  9. You know, we went on a cruise last year. Were you aware the libtards got trap shooting on cruise ships terminated?!?
  10. XDm: Fukin' great animation on that one but they need to edit the terms used. 1911: Ruger LCR D/A-only: No good animations for a pump shotgun but here's a cut-a-way explanation: Benelli Inertia shotty:
  11. Protest/riot/assault in Vermont, over a libertarian speaker being present: http://www.wnd.com/2017/03/another-campus-another-speaker-another-riot/ This actually makes me kind of happy. If (because) higher education is continuing down this route, wifey and are will be able to fund one hell of a world jet-setting vacation in a few years! Because we sure as fuk aren't funding the salaries of mentally diminished malcontents who teach this stuff is alright.
  12. Wifey and the girl went to Monster Truck Jam last night. Girl used plugs, as headsets give her a headache. Wifey was hugely impressed with the 32db electronic Howard Leight.
  13. The lack of hard data, details, and corroborated facts makes me think "coverup."
  14. The volume? Every USN ship has emergency pumps all over that will do 500 gallons per minute. That's 30,000/gallons per hour. 75,000 gallons per day sounds like an underestimate to me.
  15. Here's one for ammo: Bolt-action rifle: A levergun:
  16. I believe that figure is from the seawater they are using in a vain attempt to cool the molten uranium.
  17. Found this channel on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/vbbsmyt Dude has a plethora of cutaway animations of various weapons systems in operation, close-in focus on how each part of the mechanisms work, both in slow motion and regular speed.
  18. I can only imagine. Once I took off in a C172 with three (other) fat corrections officers and full tanks, downwind. You want to talk about a s l o w rate of climb out! Like my buddy said of those WWII bomber crews, "Boy, they sure carried their balls in a bushel basket!"
  19. The computer projections on this video, along with fish having tumors and bleeding from the gills, is even worse than the other video:
  20. Found this site: http://www.doolittleraider.com Only four of Doolittle's Raiders left with us. Those men performed a mighty, mighty service for our nation. After the Doolittle raid, the Japanese pulled back all sorts of men and weapons to ensure the homeland was protected. Nothing like getting your enemy to tie one of their own hands behind their back.
  21. Not sure but I believe it was the movie 30 Seconds Over Tokyo that went into detail on this mission. The claim there was 500' or less that the crew had to have their loaded plane off deck. Get that ship chugging at full-steam and they can cut that distance quite a bit!
  22. Agreed. That is one thing that I really appreciate about the British inter-house chats on the floor (pre-PC days). Lords would kindly call commons uneducated arses, Commons would call lords overpuffed cocksuckers, with cheering and jeering.
  23. Sheeet, IIRC Arizona was only about 12 hours away from you! Look out SS!! R2 is trying to set you up for a 12 hour wait when he's only 3 hours away by F-150 warp drive!
  24. Pretty good find, Shepp! A-10s have been stationed here at D-M AFB since I was about 8 or 9. They did some of the prototype evaluations here too. For airshows they go from brakes-on to airborne in 250'-300' with the gear retracting. On a carrier for fixed wing, it is always "into the wind" for launch. Hell, look at Doolittle's Raiders: IIRC, the USS Hornet was about the same size as the USS Guadalcanal.
