well finally got some range foto after zeroing this guy in @ 100y. I forgot that i had a mixed brands of 147gr, 150gr and 165gr in my "MIXED" box that's why there's alot of hole surrounding the bullseye LOL! so i just ended up using the 150gr ammo i reloaded with a freind and pretty much got a consistent shot until the bulseye got decimated

i believe for the upper, the only think that's AR15 interchangeable's the dust cover and charging handle latch only. Handguards not interchangeable with AR15 because they are wider than AR15's handguard(correct me if im wrong 308ar gurus!) as for barrel/handguard. You gotta specify what system you are building(AR10/DPMS/RRA etc...) because some, or most, uses different barrel nut. BCG is interchangeable but as per .308ar's guide mentioned, DO NOT CHANGE the bolt brand around. But i am anal about this so get stick with what brand caompatible your building ;D "However the one thing to keep in mind is you cant interchange the bolts between the different brands of bolt carrier. This means only use an Armalite bolt in an Armalite bolt carrier and a DPMS bolt in a DPMS bolt carrier." for sure you are build a LR308/SR25 variant right? not an AR10?

i say build it :D! i too, like you, started in the .308ar with no knowledge(a lil bit of ar15 knowledge). But as long as you read and UNDERSTAND guides, follow pointers, and ask questions here in the furoms, and also mechanically inclined(lol) you'll be A-OK.

Well i got my SRgold yesterday. I was playing around with it straight out of the box and i accidentally pressed the trigger then WHAM it it released! I was like whoooooooooa..... then i realized i wet my pants a lil bit.... ;D <laughs> I installed in lastnight and it felt great. did you guy's salector switch tightened a little bit with the SRgold(switching from safe/fire)?

ok someone is selling surplus ammo from OFN, ordnance factory nigeria. for 20c a pop. I'm having second thoughts about shooting in through my mega build. Someone tell me more about this surplus ammo. Other than its from nigeria and it might contain aids and other harmful diseases, are they safe to fire? i believe it was manufactured in the 70's
