  1. Actually, He said diaper duty. That stuff is REALLY nasty.
  2. If only they could PROPERLY do that with a JHP or ballistic tip. I, personally, don't give a darn how a bullet is made as long as it is fully effective.
  3. My father shipped a letter to me overnight via USPS. I was going to be at sister in laws house in Brawley, CA. From Nashville, TN it made it to L.A. In 6 hours. 4minutes after arrival at the sort facility in L.A. They lost it and have yet to be able to find it.
  4. Lightning also radiates static electricity. You can be close to a strike and your hair will stand up like holding on to a tesla coil. I have seen close strikes take out the computers on semi truck engines. It was probably the radiated energy that fried your appliances and sent your phones squirrelly. Unplug everything and allow it time to discharge any static and it may come back. However, the newer TVs tend to fry the mother board. Good luck and glad all the family is OK.
  5. It is the federal gravity police. Just another glorified wannabe renta cop on the federal level showing off. Just like the TSA packed with high school dropouts. They have NO jurisdiction other than running the metal detector in federal buildings
  6. I use my iPad. The problem with tethering a phone is if you get a call, then the phone takes over and kicks you off the Internet. Unfortunately, it is not inexpensive. Also, 500 meg ain't squat these days. My plan is $80 for 10 gig and I go through that in 3 weeks easy. Then it is $10 for each additional gig I use.
  7. I grew up (first 11.5 years) learning about hunting in Germany. Both my parents were avid hunters. When we finally ended up stateside, they stopped hunting. I couldn't figure out why and when I asked I was told too many stupid people. So, I didn't do any hunting of my own until I got out of the house. I started out by watching videos (in the very early days of VHS). I immediately became disgusted with what I saw. Canned hunts and passing up large (meaty) bucks to wait for one with a huge rack. Fortunately, I had a guy working for me that let me see the good side of U.S. hunting. When I hunt it is to put meat on the table or to eliminate nuisance animals. I have never cared about a wall hanger and never will. A rack doesn't feed your body. So, I only hunt on occasion and avoid most hunting shows. Kudos to uncle Ted Nugent for his Spirit of the Wild show and showing what matters.
  8. actually, the government contract stuff sits in a warehouse until it is called for. .GOV places an order. The manufacturer has to hold that amount aside and can not sell it. So, they produce until they have that quantity on hand. THEN they can start manufacturing for commercial sale. In the mean time, their warehouse is sitting full of unsaleable stock and they have back orders to deal with.
  9. The question of how many is enough is really easy. At least 1 more than it takes to completely eliminate the threat.
