I need some advice on choosing a sling, I have a lwrc repr with the 20" heavy barrel,Prs stock, harris bipod, weaver tactical scope,it's 14 to 15lbs :o keep in mind it also has a large side charging knob. Soon I will be involved in some tactical training and I will be needing to carry it mostly in wooded terrain, for hours! What type of sling, brand, attachment method would you recommend and what carry position would be best?

There was a contraversey not long ago when a baby was born on a international flight to America, was the baby an American or a citizen from the mothers country . I never heard the outcome of that? <dontknow>
-
I'm not sure if his parents were naturalized or not when he was born but it doesn't matter, any baby born on US soil is instantly a US citizen that's why Mexican women often cross the border in labor to give birth :ugone2far:
-
Bobby Jindal was born here, his parents came here from India before he was born. Do you think Romney would actually vet anyone for VP that was not a US citizen?

Most people think they need to get out of cities to fight, but urban combat is much more favorable to guerrilla war. That may be true but i'd take my chances in the woods on my terms and on my turf.

Even if the senate ratifies this treaty I don't think it will affect us however I do feel like it's another chip away from our freedoms,we're losing our freedoms slowly but surely. If military,Leo or un troops ever take up arms against American Patriots defending our constitution they will become the enemy! We are the largest army in the world by far and if anyone ever pisses us off enough it wont be pretty. Yes the military could pull up to your house while you're sleeping, kick in your door and take your weapons but they can't surprise all 10 million of us at the same time :cookoo: What % of the population would be willing to fight for our right to keep and bear arms? well 50% of the pop. votes democratic and they want to ban our guns! count out the females, children & cowards and we would be lucky to have 5%,which is still a huge amount!

I don't know who Dick Morris is or what he could do about it? but this will come down to a vote in the Senate so I hope you all will email your senators and demand that they do not ratify this treaty! :soap:

A reply to my letter about the UN small arms treaty from one of my senators(dem) Thank you for contacting me to express your views about the UN Small Arms Treaty. I greatly appreciate hearing from you. Conventional arms transfers are a crucial national security concern for the United States, and I have always supported effective action to control the international transfer of arms. An Arms Trade Treaty initiative presents us with the opportunity to promote our high export control standards for the entire international community. The United States Department of State is working hard for a strong and robust Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), and it has been agreed that negotiations for that treaty will proceed on a consensus basis. These negotiations will only cover international transfers of conventional weapons, not internal (domestic) transfers or possession. I will oppose any provisions that would conflict with the U.S. Constitution or domestic U.S. law. I assure you that I believe in the fundamental importance of the 2nd Amendment and will continue working to ensure that Americans have the right to bear arms. As the 112th Congress progresses, I will certainly look into the UN Small Arms Treaty when it appears for debate and voting. I assure you that I consider this issue to be paramount, and I will continue to ensure that it receives the attention it deserves. Again, I appreciate hearing from you and hope you will continue to contact me anytime. Please feel free to visit my website at http://landrieu.senate.gov for more information on my legislative activities. I don't trust her!...still waiting to here from my other senator(Rep.)

Cali Makes Moves to Effectively Ban Most Semi-Autos July 2, 2012 Printer Friendly | Email | Share Your Comments (11) (GunReports.com) -- If you think it is hard to own and possess a semi-automatic firearm in California now, just wait until Senate Bill 249 gets enacted, NRA-ILA reports. Senate Bill 249 was amended from an agriculture bill to a serious anti-gun bill to eliminate the ownership and possession of most semi-automatic firearms by law-abiding Californians. SB 249, introduced by state Senator Leland Yee (D-8), would restrict any person from importing, making, selling, loaning, transferring or possessing magazine release components in semi-auto firearms (bullet button, etc). Senate Bill 249, if enacted, would ban the ownership and possession of AR-15s and other magazine-fed semi-automatic firearms that currently use "bullet buttons" or other tools to restrict the removal of the magazine. This anti-gun bill would also authorize civil and criminal penalties for possessing a "conversion kit." Also, SB 249 would make the possession of a "conversion kit" a public nuisance, authorize civil and criminal penalties and require surrendering the conversion kit. According to this bill, a conversion kit is any combination of parts that, when affixed to a firearm with a fixed magazine, are designed and intended to convert that firearm into an “assault weapon” as defined in the bill
