  1. No I haven't heard much about them, here's some good ones for less $$ http://www.shadowopsweaponry.com/308-caliber-762-x-51-bolt-carrier-group http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aspx/store/productdetail.aspx?pid=340 https://www.wmdguns.com/shop-now/wmd-kits/308-bolt-carrier-group-polished.html http://www.fulton-armory.com/boltcarriergroupcompletetitanincludesboltcomplete-2.aspx
  2. Welcome to the forum, Aero Precision has a good reputation around here. We can't see the handguard because > The Aero Precision is "DPMS" spec. (Only Armalite brand is referred to as AR-10)
  3. $225.25, expected to ship the first batch in late December. http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aspx/store/productdetail.aspx?pid=340&utm_source=Retail+Customers&utm_campaign=7ba61a8157-_308_NiB_BCG_Presale_120514&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_fae430ccdc-7ba61a8157-192060029&mc_cid=7ba61a8157&mc_eid=95977b16b9
  4. Aero Precision receiver set (small frame) in O.D.G. Lwrci rail panels, 10 rd. C-Products mag in 6.8
  5. I prefer stainless , the way I see it is if you can afford to shoot enough rounds to wear out your barrel you can afford to buy a new barrel :yup:
  6. LWRCI https://www.lwrci.com/t-technology.aspx
  7. "NiCorr™ surface conversion has proved more lubricious, harder wearing, more heat and corrosion resistant than the hard chrome normally used in the bore. Our barrels can handle 20,000 rounds before replacement, as compared to 6,000-10,000 rounds on a standard M4."
  8. If you like a flat trigger this might be for you.... http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/11/26/revolution-roller-trigger/ http://jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPFCP-1EZ-R
  9. I don't think anyone here has one yet..... It looks top notch to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVQYytr6GsM
  10. Take a look at this > http://www.recoilweb.com/ar15triggerguide/ it's not all inclusive but covers the majority.... I didn't see the Armalite NM or ELF but those are $200+
  11. A little wobble is normal, that repr pictured cost a small fortune and yes it wobbles a little but doesn't bother me. This $5.00 part that Robo referred to will solve the wobble for you. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/receiver-hardware/accu-wedges/ar-15-m16-accu-wedge-prod16662.aspx
  12. Here's some reference pictures, LWRC 308 is pretty tight but I was able to get a business card in there, the JD Machine AR15 had a slightly larger gap.
  13. Post up the pictures here for the gurus to see, the slop you're referring to may be typical <dontknow>
  14. +1 This should be verified & pinned.
  15. That sounds just like Californiastan <lmao> . Welcome to the 308AR.com forum Jan,we're glad to have you! There's also the 308AR Facebook page <thumbsup>
  16. Question.....How does your big azz fit in that little climber? :))
  17. As mentioned above my vote would be for the 30-06 only because of the huge range of bullet weights available. I do not own an 06, I do own a 270 bolt gun.
  18. Are you referring to target or deer at that range? 600 yards would be about the max effective range on deer for the .308 , the Grendel about 400 yards using the 1000 ft.lbs. of energy rule.
  19. Muzzy's are bad to the bone! <thumbsup>
  20. If this is strictly a bench gun weight is a good thing so why not go with a 20-22" barrel if you're concerned with milking every fps that you can get out of it? Although with length you get more barrel whip so a heaver contour would be better. <dontknow>
  21. Welcome from LA. > Also a deer hunter
  22. Welcome from LA. ^^^ I would recommend that you heed the subtle warning signs from above & back away from the PA-10, there's too many issues popping up with it. The new Aero Precision has been a winner.
  23. R2 , I'm sure it just slipped his mind. Everyone knows that NEMO Arms should be on that list! <laughs> <lmao> http://nemoarms.com/portfolio/tango8/
  24. A Wilson Combat barrel in 6.8 SPC 18" Match (Recon profile) fluted SS w/ bead blasted finish.
  25. I don't think you could go wrong with that Vortex PST <thumbsup> For "others" look at the Weaver Tactical line of scopes, they're a great bang for the buck!....I cant post a link right now but Amazon has a Weaver Tactical 3x15x50 mil/mil FFP for $639.00 :hethan:
