I don't know if anyone has heard of or seen one of these but I placed an order for the Sniper 30mm model (http://flatlineops.com/levels/sniper-30mm) and it should arrive by Friday. I decided not to purchase the cosine indicator that attaches to the side because there's nothing but flat plains here in Oklahoma with the occasional hill here and there so the added expense would be a waste. Anyway, I'll post a photo of it attached to my NightForce NXS when it arrives.

I have the NightForce NXS 5.5-22x50mm NP-R1 with zero stop and I have never once been disappointed in the clarity or light gathering. In fact, the difference in the 50 & 56 objective is about 30 minutes of extra light in either dawn or dusk.

NightForce has a VERY strict MAP policy so don't expect to get a 'bargain' on a new NightForce. Your best bet is to find one that is pre-owned and has been well taken care of. I'll take what Primary Weapons Systems has to offer over anything else. As of this post, I am using the FSC30 compensator with great results but my PWS Precision Rifle Compensator will arrive sometime this week and I've read good things about it. A good compensator will HELP your accuracy and allow for maintaining your POA more easily.

In my opinion, POF is in a class of their own with their piston system. They're rifles are known for excellent accuracy that rivals most bolt guns. Buy with confidence.

Impossible, no. Improbable, yes. There aren't many people who can afford to blow $5,000/mo on ammo or should I say, there are very few people who would do that.

+1 for Palmetto State Armory. You won't find lower priced FGMM ammo anywhere.

If you want a trigger a little more crisp, send it back to Geissele and have it swapped out for the SSA-E. I had previously purchased the SSA and like yourself, I didn't care for the feel of it. The SSA-E, however, is superb with a crisp second stage break at 1.2#.

You won't need toilet paper because the American dollar will be totally worthless and will double as toilet tissue. In times of economic and social distress, it only takes one bullet to take every bit of gold and barter items you have. The only currency that will matter for survival will be a bullet.

In my opinion, the .308 AR-10 is the perfect SHTF weapon. It provides plenty of energy for punching through barriers and enough velocity to drop any wild game within 1000yds. While you may be able to carry more ammo with a 5.56, your opponent will be immobilized no matter where you hit him with a .308.

The guy who told you that anyone who doesn't shoot 10,000rds a month doesn't have a say in quality/dependability is full of poop...period. As someone else posted, that is spending THOUSANDS of dollars each month on CHEAP ammo. Sounds to me like he's a self important douche bag. For what it's worth, DPMS will do you fine, but if you're wanting a top-shelf AR-10 then a POF*USA P308 or GAP-10 from G.A. Precision will serve you well. The POF exceeds mil-spec and I'm sure the GAP probably does, too. 10,000rds a month...wish I could find out what forum that guy is on and call him out on his BS.

I found this forum while browsing Google and noticed a local POF shooter (Tomthebaker), who also happens to be an acquaintance from a large precision shooting forum, had posted a comment. I'm really surprised there isn't more activity in this forum but no matter, I'll do what I can to help breathe life back into this place. See you guys on the flip side....

Damn, this thread and forum has seen less action than Betty White but here's my stick.

I use MPro-7 and steel wool and it works just fine. It's nowhere near as difficult to clean is you use good ammo. If you run crap through it like Wolf, Bear, Tula, or Monarch then it will get pretty dirty.
