  1. Took a trip up to Wyoming a couple weeks ago. Met up with a couple of friends who have guided on the river up there. Fished off a raft and a drift boat for a few days and had a blast! Here's a few of the Rainbow, Brown and Cutthroat trout caught.
  2. Welcome from Colorado!
  3. That's crap. The guy was backing and running away while he was throwing a few rocks. No power behind them. Not a deadly threat. Get a riot shield and go non lethal. Not listening to cops isn't a death warrant.
  4. Turns out it WAS the extractor like SS said originally. I started getting jams right away, inspected the cases and could see the extractor marks were off. I switched out the BCG and it started working fine. I thought originally when I went out and function tested it, that I tried a different BCG but I hadn't, I had just tried it on a different lower. Live and learn right? I fired some factory 110gr Hornady Vmax, those suckers have some pop! Then I tried some reloads, 150 fmj and 125 Nosler. I got my red dot dialed in and the 125s were shooting great. On some reloads the bolt wouldn't seat all the way so I really need to get one of those gauges to check those. Other than that it feels good to have this bad boy operating. This was a couple groups with the 125s. Picture should be vertical. 17 gr of 4227.
  5. Picked up this spring from NEMO. Going to try it out tomorrow. It is definitely a lighter spring than a regular carbine spring, thinner gauge metal, less coils and slightly shorter.
  6. Great color! Makes that skinny handguard look even sweeter! Glad it's running good for you! What optic did you say your putting on it?
  7. This came. Hope it solves the short cycling. Pretty cool sticker too.
  8. Looks like you figured it out. Refresh me on your barrel length. 1-10 twist?
  9. Looking forward to the range report. I'm liking the look of that handguard!
  10. Looking good brother!
  11. Welcome from Colorado!
  12. I'm going to try running a couple different buffers with NEMO's 300 Blackout spring. http://store.nemoarms.com/300-blackout-custom-carbine-buffer-spring/
  13. Looks great Doc! I plowed snow for about 11 hours over the weekend. We got about 9". Got home cleaned off the grill and put on some Brats! Some things just have to go on the grill!
  14. Did you try any supersonic rounds with the new buffer? What C.O.A.L are you using for the 208 Amax? Glad to hear it's operating better
  15. Picked up one of these. Haven't heard much about them, might be the ticket though. http://store.nemoarms.com/300-blackout-custom-carbine-buffer-spring/
  16. This is what we get when you encourage him... :)
  17. Thanks brother. I'm going to have to pick some up!
  18. Where did you get those bullets?
  19. Who has $212.95 they want to spot me?
  20. I'll grab a can of air later today and look up the " air can test, but I'll wait to hear from Shibi before I do anything else with the gasblock.
  21. That video pisses me off. 3 grown ass men and they have to shoot a guy running away from them and throwing rocks. They signed up to serve and protect, just tackle him and cuff him. If you get hit by a rock so what, that's bullsh$t.
  22. Good to know. Was it a carbine buffer?
  23. There are some marks on the brass from the extractor but in comparison to the .223 brass I shot the same day the marks are not as obvious. I tried to get pictures but I don't think it will show up. These are some of the brass that were jammed up by the next round trying to load.
  24. Yes, factory ammo was used from the beginning. Gemtech 187gr subs. After those weren't working I tried some reloads. The BCG didn't lock back again after the first series of 3 shots. I would fire a shot and couldn't fire another. The BCG would be half way to the chamber with a new round ,and the fired brass would be half out of the chamber but pinned in by the new round trying to load. I'll see if I can get some pics of the brass, and look for extractor marks.
