  1. Might just start with a new upper build to put atop an SI Defense lower. Pros and cons between the two? (purpose is for target shooting) I do not currently reload, but may in the future. Anyone running both?
  2. Good to know, thanks.
  3. Ok, got it. But no problem putting the two uppers with their respective BCGs on the same lower (same spring/buffer)?
  4. I know this has been asked before, but I'm wondering about additional issues: If I've got two uppers 1. 20" Heavy barrel 2. 16" regular contour -Both are Rifle length gas systems. BCG is properly head-spaced to work with either barreled upper. One lower: with PRS stock and standard DPMS length buffer tube with Slash's Heavy Buffer. Will there be any expected cycling problems putting either upper on the same lower? Will pressures really change that much? Will I need an adjustable gas block on the 16"? (This is all running unsupressed, btw) Thanks, DRD
  5. Yes, great stuff! It will be investing to see how velocity plays into the mix with the different barrel lengths at longer ranges, if at all!
  6. Why not build one? You could probably make one to your exact specs for just a little more or the same as you would pay for something off the shelf. Or, get a used DPMS like Magwa's and customize the parts you want.
  7. They've really seemed to address so many of the issues and features that many long range shooters have been asking for. Their reputation, customer service, and the fact that they are a US company along with pretty decent glass has made them really popular. I just don't understand why those scopes are so heavy. They are over 2 lbs! March offers the same thing or better at half the weight for a couple hundred more...but Vortex offers more/better reticle choices. I'd love to see more semi custom options like what USO offers from more optics companies
  8. Yes, the Vortex looks very nice, but quite heavy. So, as long as it's for the bench or prone, it seems like a winner. Especially that EBR-2c reticle! Btw, AR-Sniper, do you have any contact info or a website for John Benjamin? Are his barrels button or cut? Do you know if he turns chrome moly or only stainless steel? Thanks
  9. any experience or insight into these guys? They have some really great prices http://www.specializeddynamics.com/
  10. I hear the Falcon is the exact same optic as the BSA 4-14x44 FFP MRAD, built by the same factory in China. They put a different label on and raised the price. I'd love to know how it's been holding up, cause it's a sweet deal with good features. Also, what make barrel is that?
  11. "I just call them all "my gun"(singular) so my wife doesn't realize how many I have. As long as I keep them the same color she'll never know there's more then one. " Brilliant!

Yes, we are often distracted from the rights that have been slowly stripped from us by the hypnotizing "nice" weather here.
  21. I hear this one works flawlessly with bolt action accuracy in 6.5C. I wonder what they use? http://www.jprifles.com/1.2.5_LRP07.php
  22. Sweet. thanks. I'm using an SI Defense lower, so it's DPMS pattern. Any idea which mags would work best for 6.5C? Seems they run pretty well with most anything when feeding .308. Sorry - didn't mean to hijack the thread ;-)
  23. Does that mean pmags are probably out of the question if its meant for AR10? Also, is it possible to headspace two barrels ( 308 & 6.5c) to use the same BCG? Im looking to use the same lower for 308 and 6.5c uppers. Would i need to change buffers if using slashes heavy buffer for the 308?
  24. What was the fix? What mags wound up working? Also, why 6.5C vs 260 rem?
