If I had to guess I would say that it's just a rebadged dpms gii

Thanks guys! That multicam paracord ended up looking really nice with that camo job!
-
Oh cool. Kinda like a canned bengay?
-
Nice! That was quick!

I can't see the picture that you posted, but I don't know what it was... I was in the gym, not even doing deadlifts, just picking up a light weight dumbbell... I felt a light tweak or snap in my back, and by the time it was time to leave the gym, I could walk. Sheesh

Well, lets get the powers that be from this page and make it happen :-D

Hey guys, I know that we have a facebook page, but I was wondering if we might throw together a Facebook Group. I am on quite a few AR pages for some reason, and basically every day 308ar questions or misinformation pop up, and I point people towards here. Surely membership has spiked! lol jk But really, probably at least twice a day I am sending people here, usually more. Idk if they actually come, but it got me to thinking... why not have our very own 308ar group, where everyone can share publically. I think that it could really be good for the sight here!

Shepp, I got it today! Or yesterday... since I have been in bed with a bad back, time has kinda blurred together... Thanks for the hook up man! Is the piece that screws into the scope like a 2x magnifier or something? This build is going to be epic... she is so lucky! lol

Hey guys! Things are going great! So far I have a JD machine upper and lower, Vortex red dot, Anderson lpk, mft minimalist stock, and an Aim nitride/ nickel boron bcg. All I need now is a commercial buffer tube, buffer, spring, barrel, gas tube, and barrel! I decided to go with the faxom 14.5" lightweight barrel with mid length gas tube, and I am going to hang a monster comp off the end of it. Which will look interesting since I got a slim no name keymod rail that is 15"... I can't wait to throw it together and give you guys a weight and total price!

I have the G2 recon, and both Midwest industries and dpms told me that the Ar15 handguards that Midwest offered would not fit the G2. Dpms said that that advertisement was a mistake, and "some" Ar15 handguards would fit. So I purchased the G2 specific handguards from mi.

Are they that GOOD, that BAD, or that SCARCE?
beachmaster replied to jcw556's topic in General Discussion
No, these might be different, but they aren't on a GII lower, at least not yet ;-) They have been around for quite awhile now. -

In my original search for a 308 ar, this is the rifle that I ended up wanting. I found one, and had a chance to purchase it... Then the GII platform came out. I talked to dpms about whether or not they had planned on coming out with the 3g1 in the GII platform, and they put me under the impression that eventually they will. The 3g might be a slow seller, therefor hard to find now. If you contact a trusted dealer, I am sure that they can order it for you! As far as the railed gasblock, I am sure that dpms got a good deal on that handguard in bulk, and had a million railed gas blocks lying around, and figured "why not" I really like this model. Which is why that is similar to how I am building my gii ;-) -
My buddy did the same thing. It's a cool upgrade :-)
-
That is one light rifle! Welcome to the G2 world, glad to have you here! There aren't to many of us! But there will be... Ooohhh there will be :-)
-
thanks for the heads up!

The G2 actually doesn't accept all Ar15 hand guards. That was a bit of mistaken marketing by DPMS. Which was kind-of a bummer.

ill have to check that out! As well as the other breaks mentioned :-) Where is it $40?

http://www.armsunlimited.com/FERFRANS-Muzzle-Brake-Concussion-Reduction-System-p/mb-crd.htm Hey guys, check out this ferfrans muzzle break... It is out of my budget, but I think that I really like the concept. As much as I don't care much about other people complaining at the range (they already do and I am not even running a comp), having the option to be less annoying, and maybe to save the ear drums around deer season, is quite appealing. Any experience or thoughts?

On facebook a guy was trying to sell a stripped noveske upper and lower for $750. I think that they are both in stock and $150 online... I did some research on whether or not Noveske makes their upper and lowers in house, or whether they just stamp their logos on like everyone else. As it turns out, they just stamp their logos on like everyone else, and their lower is manufactured by cmc with a high shelf... I would have thought that at least they would be a low shelf... So, in the process of everyone flaming the guy for being a con artist, he said "Its a Noveske thing, you either get it, or you don't" I guess I don't... It would never be worth it to me to purchase a "Noveske Part" that is no higher quality than any other part for 6 times retail, just because it says Noveske... The first experience I had with Noveske was when I was at the range shooting with you guys in Tucson. The dang sling stud broke because their was slag in the threads, so the only threads that were engaging stripped. Customer service was good though. But I just wont get it. I wont pay Ferrari price for a civic with a Ferrari label. I know that Noveske builds good parts, and outside of my distaste for their advertisement, I would purchase said parts. But I will not pay way more than the actual value of any item because their name is on it. The bottom line at the end of the day, is I guess that I am one of the guys that doesn't get it. (I am sure that that Noveske roll mark is good for resale value though, that is not something that I consider)

New colors, Beachin Tactical Giveaway!

Blue, that bayonet is so dang awesome! (the rifle is too, I just can't help but be drawn to the bayo LOL) -
I really appreciate the offer man, but it isn't quite the direction that I am headed in. :-) On another note, I have the bcg, upper, lower, lpk, a buttstock, and a red dot... Besides the barrel, would you guys suggest really putting money down anywhere else? Can I go with a cheap buffer tube kit from brownells, and a normal lp gas block, or is there somewhere where it is important I go with higher end parts?

The excellent taste that you guys have is just one of the reasons that I love being here :-) Heminut, that is AWESOME! -
Hhmmm... Let's set up an email list! I will get some company names and email addresses, I'll send them emails, and let you guys know how it goes. If a company is exceptionally obstinate or incompetent, maybe a couple of people can back me up with emails of their own. :-) I'll try to get a list going tomorrow.
