    .22

Sandy Hook was 556. Its not scarce. Cost maybe inflated but 22 is scare. I ain't buying that scenerio. Maybe its the most popular. There are lines at all the Big 5's every Tuesday to buy..22. Not 556 or 762. I do buy the hoarding reselling scenerio. But the state of Kali with all of its kommie gun laws would lend me to believe that there is a reason beyond Sandy Hook or Colorado theater. Even the gangsters in LA rarely use 22. I guess the common denominator is money. Even with inflated prices no one can keep 22 on the shelves. Not even Walmart.

    .22

Over the last few months I have been trying to find .22 LR or any .22 for that matter. Here in SoCal all supplies are sold out or those that are available are sold out immediately after restock. Online the cost is horrible(.12 a round) and/or they get you with shipping costs. Most other calibers are available. What is the deal with .22?
  4. I haven't tried craigslist for weapons stuff. Land of fruits and nuts...
  5. Used EOTECH anyone? http://www.samplelist.com/EOTech-553-Military-Holosight-DEMO-B-P69017.aspx

  7. I have a bunch or 300SAV. You need a box we can make it work. Let me know.
  8. Me too. Was mentioned in another thread. Inside joke I guess. SBR doesn't apply to the ArmaLite SPR(AR10T) that I own. It would be required if I was thinking about this mongrel above. Happyhappyhappy
  9. Thxs Robo. My rifle was bought like any other in Ca. Pay, wait 10 receive. SBR oe PBR...apples?

Read Starship Troopers when I was kid. Nothing like the movie. More like armored up powered suits that could fly.
  14. Wat kind is that?

    Camp Pendelton

Last season around 100+ were taken on Pendelton (most in the last 4 I hunted). Few were over the 100lbs. and more in the 60-90lbs. range. Since its either sex and the hunter saturation is moderate compared to LA/San Berdo counties, that about the jest of it. SoCal being a desert of course has alot to do with it. I will try to find the stats from the wardens office and post it. Better than nothing but not much.
  18. If memory serves I recall we soaked the bluefish fillets in milk? Then battered them up. deep fried and with copious amounts of winter outdoor chilled PBR it was awesome. We were mostly westcoast transplants so no idea what we were doing. The flounder were awesome though. Maine lobsta and clams. My mom had a killer new England clam chowder recipe. We caught all of in the off time and sometimes 'on the job". Yeah blackfish too! White meat good stuff! I remember those. That all was back in the early 80's for me. New London, Ct. I HATE congor eels! Your bluefish story is like the Lil Caesers pizza joke...throw away the pizza and eat the box.

That is a fact. I hope to get that way this season. I have been in the lottery for 2 years now so maybe this year is it.
  20. THAT is a HUGE Bluedog! I did eat a small Blue many moons ago. Tasted like catfood (yes I have eaten that too). Your name fits my friend! I have never eaten striper before. I have eaten Bluefish though. Ever catch those? Kinda tuna like.

Been hunting the base for the last 4 years. Seen a few but have yet to snag one. For SoCal its a great place. Only open to AD,RES, Ret. and guests of. Last year a rock took out my front end of my F250 so I missed most of the season. I used to hump an M1A but sold it for the Remy 700. Humping the M1A was a chore! Now the AR-10 for pigs if Kali will make up its mind. Vandenburg AFB has the same mil deal for hunting and pigs were a plenty. This year they shut it down but hopefully it will be up again soon.
  22. Here is Chineak creek on Kodiak full of salmon, Dolly's and steelhead. I caught some by hand.
  23. I do get this pesky buggers now and again. Coronado roaches. Older pic but still a good catch.
