Hahaha, thats pretty funny, Eye doc. So do you need a separate laser designating scope for the fifty cal? Or does the one on the weapon track a target you select? If it does how do you keep the target in your field of view through recoil? Especially if its moving?

The super stock looks sweet. I will keep that in mind when I start my next project, a sig 716 patrol but thats probably not gonna happen till the end of the year.
-
Super cool but I'm sure I'll never be able to afford it. Also I hope to never be the enemy of anybody who can.

So it took a few hours with 80 grit emery cloth, but I got the GL shock to fit alot better. Before I had to put my foot on my grip pod and give a mighty yank to extend it, now the weight of the rifle itself is sufficient to get the stock moving. I'll work on it a little more this week to get it perfect. Now that it's functional I really like it, but I will never again purchase a stock advertised to fit both commercial and mil spec.

Welcome from NE and congratulations on your anniversary. Blue and Survivalshop perfectly described what has happened to me, if not either of those take it to a gun smith, or bury it untill the commies invade... WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!

No idea what you guys are talking about. I live on 5 acres in Nebraska and have my own personal 100yrd rifle range. My only problem is saving ammo and the only use I've found for airsoft is house clearing drills with my roomate.

Hmmmm, thanks for all the suggestions. I'm not sure what route I'll take although making it fit the tube I have sounds like more fun than buying a different extention. But I have heard there are certain upsides to a mil spec. I'll call rra in the morning and see if there tube is special or if the threads are different before I look into buying a spec. Thanks again for all of your insight.

Adjusting zoom wont or at least shouldn't effect bullet impact at all. As far as how to use the reticle marks, and turret consult your owners manual. It all depends on what type of scope it is.

Where can I buy just a mil spec tube? I don't want or need a kit. Also, I just dropped 139 bucks on a product advertised to fit my platform, I should not need to get another tube, 20 bones or 10. Period. Mako Group has a history of watching blogs, I sure they see this one. Dissatisfied to say the least. The waterproof storage is waterproof and there a slight amount of recoil reduction. The "operator" pad is great, especially when I roll the weapon over to make use of the 45 degree offset red dot, no more collarbone bruises. I just want it fit as advertised. Hope that doesn't make a dick. If so then I'm a dick.

The GL shock is here. Its way early, thats a plus, but it's way too tight on my commercial tube.I tryed oiling it but I'm gonna have to take a file to it. I don't have a mil spec tube laying around but as tight as it is on mine it's gotta fit a mil better. It doesnt lock into place positively either. I'll take it out this weekend and let you know how the "anti recoil" spring works. Also it's pretty damn heavy. My first impression is negative. Disappointed so far. Also, this...

Wait... I thought potus personally killed bin laden and all the other bad guys in the world with his pen and his phone. Whats the big deal? We got nothin to worry about right?

I run a grip pod on mine it's not the most stable but I'll shoot sub moa at 100 off it all day. it's lightning fast and pretty light. It's polymer but very strong especially if you get LE or military model with steel supports in the legs. Spend the money and get the real one though, the cheapo amazon special will break in no time.

Hahaha, thats it for now DNP. Its fireworks season after all.

:-) I sure hope Blue is wrong. Apparently it has interchagable recoil pads, so I got an operator pad and a sniper pad with it. We'll see how it stacks up.

I'm curious what kind of buttstocks everyone is running and what you think it's pros and cons are. I'm thinking about getting a GL Shock from fab-defence. Does anyone have one, or heard anything good or bad about them?

Cool, now that I know where find them the only challenge left is to talk my girlfriend into sewing them to my tac vest. :-/ ;-)

The only paint is the base coat, it only took about 15 mins. I then hydro dipped it in marpat using a kit from camodipkit.com. that took a couple weeks to figure out, lots of trial and error, but once I figured it out it was a breeze. If you are not familiar with hydrographics you can search youtube for how to vidioes, I don't know how to add links yet, sorry.

Thanks I'll check those out.

I have 10 20rd poly mags, 6 from rra 4 from thermold. Some time in the last year rra changed their lower design so when the mags showed up I had to file them down, womp womp. Besides that little pain I have had no problems with the polymer. I looked around for good steel fal mags but can't find any that are worth a darn. What I really need are mag pouches that will fit two mags each. Anyone where I can fnd those?
