  1. Our pleasure. Enjoy the barrel!
  2. You mean "HEATOFSUMMER" which is good for 10% off any barrel through Saturday? No, we would never do anything like that. >:D
  3. For those going adjustable, we are good friends with ODIN Works who makes an fantastic adjustable block with click-in place adjustments (from the front, too!)
  4. Well, we do have a conflict of interest in telling you to buy things. ;)
  5. Assuming general shooting or even 3-gun, very little. Full-Auto fire (getting it really hot), would have a noticeable decrease. However, it would effect groupings when the barrel is hot (which it gets hot faster). How much is yet to be seen, but the thinner you go, the less metal to support itself.
  6. We hear you and thanks for the suggestion on the profile. Getting there will be a mathematical challenge, as we will not exceed a certain "safety factor" (the formal mathematical rating for a barrel's ability to handle pressure as it gets hot.) For us, it will be dictated by that safety factor, we'll get as thin as it allows.
  7. That is correct. We build our barrels to handle standard MIL-SPEC firing sequences, which include full-auto fire. There are "fancy calculations" which we undertake and will get close on when we go down the pencil .308, but for now, the Medium-Tapered is a great place to start. We created that one to balance accuracy and maneuverability, much like the GUNNER series of barrels in 5.56.
  8. Sorry! Need to visit forums more often.
  9. We'll accept that .308 pencil challenge. The issue is you have to use a certain amount of material to maintain safety factor on the barrel.
  10. We're honored to be thought of. While we have a conflict of interest, as a shop, we pitch barrels if a pin breaks. We do not recommend replacing one.
  11. Thanks for the photos! Heck of a strong wind to string like that!
  12. Pics requested when it is done!
  13. Sorry! No rush for more SKUs at the moment. We will keep it in mind.
  14. Before we get started, we would state that the bolt is good to go, just not nominal. We have a couple actual DPMS bolts we use interchangeably and they measure out as follows: Lug Depth: .314-.315 Co-Bore: .122 -.123 Given this well accounts for the .002" needed to bring you within nominal spec, we would conclude the bolt is out of nominal, but still functional. Hope this helps!
  15. Couple weeks, at the most. Have nearly 500 of them rolling through. The 14.5" and 16" GUNNER Profiles will be done this week.
  16. I took no offense! My comment was meant to reinforce that you guys are talking to someone who can get things done.
  17. Always a pleasure to be of service. What I can speak to is how we check our barrels. We have a custom bolt machined at the nominal specification that is checked 100% with Clymer gauges. We only allow barrels that pass GO through for sale. So, assuming the barrel is good (its possible it may not be, but to assume): 1. Your gauges is off. We have seen issues with Forster before. They are not as accurate as Clymer, in our experience. 2. The bolt is bad (we use AIM internally, but its possible one is on the deep side). 3. The bolt is within specification, check with field. Once you get a chance to check with field or another bolt, let me know. We stand behind the barrel 100% and if needed, will get it replaced.
  18. You're not actually talking to the CSR, your talking with the Director. ;) I try to get around, but between everything I can only check forums so often! Very happy you enjoyed the barrel and I love the look of the lower... Going to have to build one of those up now...
  19. It sounds interesting, but it has to sell. We have done numerous pre-buys before on special configurations, and not one has yet to get to 50 pre-orders... If you guys want to organize a group buy, we're all in.
  20. We require a minimum order of 50 barrels. Payment is due at the step that the barrel is customized. We are happy to make dang near anything!
  21. Where's a Staples "Easy" button meme when you need one?
  22. Woohoo! We finally have 16" .308 barrels available. Check out the website for details. Tech specs TBA later this evening.
  23. Agreed. I am a native Hoosier born right next to Notre Dame. I can never understand why that flag gets stolen in October every year around here...
