  1. Thankfully
  2. Plus I've got to breed more gun lovers that can keep up the fight after I'm gone.
  3. Thanks, I think it has something to do with the air to fuel mixture. We haven't got it down yet. But is sure is fun to practice.
  4. First let me ask why there isn't a running range report pic thread. I saw the one that had been locked. Please educate me. So today I decided to hit the range with the 700 I dropped a few days ago. I had done some work and had not sighted the rifle in yet. What I shot: 1. (confirming on paper) PPU Match Line168gr BTHP (crap European stuff) 2. Federal Premium Gold Medal 168gr BTHP 3. IMR 4895 168gr BTHP (my loads) 4. IMR 3031 168gr BTHP (my loads) I did not get to chrono any of these rounds. The range I went to in not my first choice or even my second but it is very close to home. It is run by a bunch of kids and the benches are very poor. Total time there was 1.5 hours, mainly waiting on the ding dongs to call a cease fire so they could go down and get my target. They don't let you go down. So I shoot this target at 100 yards off of bags. Not too bad other than the cheap European crap.
  5. One's (#3) cooking as we speak, lol. But got to the range today and the scope was perfect.
  6. So this is why such a small item and weight cost 10 bucks to ship. That is a XDM 9mm mag for reference.
  7. Hello and welcome from Texas.
  8. Damn Skippy.
  9. Same thought, lol. Bones heal scopes don't.
  10. Cool, but i was thinking the same thing, never fired...
  11. It was either drop my gun or save my 22 month old. She crept up behind me and when I turned around I tripped on her, so gun or daughter.
  12. Beaver fall in the same category with squirrels, singer sewing machines....
  13. Yeah there is no apparent damage, but it has just been one of those days. I don't believe there is any damage and I would hope its a better product than that, but there is no way to tell.
  14. Its brand new and never been fired.
  15. Recently I had ankle surgery and while moving some guns around I tripped and dropped a gun from about 3 feet up. No sure exactly how it landed but now I'm worried about the optics. Luckily its a Vortex Viper PST so if it is damaged they will take care of it. Should I be worried?
  16. Mine
  17. Maybe you've read this or not but worth the 5 minutes. How to rope a deer. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2390371/posts
  18. Mine has ran solid so far. The only issue Ive ever heard with any mag is the OAL cant be to long.
  19. We are only allowed to carry soft point or hollow point. Nothing wrong with carrying hand loads per our department SOP.
  20. While I know, and I'm not argueing, that an 18 and 16" barrel will bang steel at 1k yards the can defeats the purpose right? A can will add approx 50fps, more than 1' pf barrel (approx 35fps per inch). Correct? Please let me know otherwise.
  21. I hate paying for shipping. Most of the time its not on time anyway. How can six little metal rings that weight about 1lbs cost 10 bucks to ship?
  22. I've only heard good things about them. I have several of there products and my only complaint is with the pistol grip. It has sharp edges that need to be beveled for comfort.
  23. Picked this up for 130.00. I will shop for gun parts until my wife is blue in the face. Only problem is that it is on back order.
  24. A little late but these are what I'm running on my 700 without issue in the PTG bottom metal. http://mdttac.com/magazines.html
