  1. How do they both compare to that Sharps caliber you built a year or so ago? How’s that one turning out? What parts are proprietary to the Grendel; bolt, mags, barrel, etc.?
  2. How do you like the 6.5 Grendel?
  3. Midwest Industries m-lock handguard for the 20” AR10, LaRue scope mount for the FAL, piston and spring assy. and new gas tube for the Century R1A1 FAL along with new ambi mag release and sling.
  4. Howdy Again ...

if you don’t mind I’m trying to get some info. on the last AWB.  I don’t recall some of the particulars.  I was an LEO back then but I never enforced or had to deal with it being in Immigration.

Did we have to hide AR mags that were over 10 rounds or just not able to buy new mags?

Did we have to turn any mags in?

Were we able to use AR10 and AR15, AK, and other military semi-auto(s) or did we have to hide those?

I don’t recall how all that worked.

    Thanks for the assistance.

What I recall was it was just restrictions on sales, everything was grandfathered in, don't remember how they dealt with 30 round mags that were produced before the ban but don't remember anyone turning them in. This did drive up prices considerably on what was out there. Things calmed down a bit after the first year or so. When the ban sunsetted the AR boom was on, sort of mainstreamed the platform. I look for a minimum of registration of older rifles on the next ban.

Do you think we’ll have a gun ban and mandatory registration coming up?

What do you think will be the minimum that will happen?

Not sure, I plan for the worst and hope for the best.

  5. Yes indeed ... now this is what I call CLASS !!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁

  7. Drum or bipod. Either ... Or
  8. Thanks. I’ve been thinking about trying their new sunglasses. Damn sun down here is blinding all hours it’s out.
  9. Interesting. Not to dispute your word but I dont know how many Federal rounds I've fired through the years yet never had a BCG go bad because of it. Extractors, ejectors, springs, etc., have been replaced from time to time due to normal course of wear but as long as I've cleaned my BCG I've never had it "lock up" on me. I guess there's a first time for everything though.
  10. Whenever I see her face the first thing I do is remind myself how really expendable she is.
  11. Very self-explanatory
  12. I believe you 100%. I worked two 30-day details on the northern border in 2002. The first was in June of 2002 and I was assigned for 2 weeks to the Sweetgrass Port of Entry (POE) followed by 2 weeks at the Whitlash POE in beautiful Montana. While at Whitlash we had to open the gate on the road every morning at 07:00 AM then record the outside temperature. After a few days of noticing our Canadian counterpart just across the "border" never seemed concerned about the gate across the road I asked why it was the USA that always opened the border? The response was simple; on the Canadian side the same road is considered the "Queen's Road" and "it is unlawful to put a barrier across the Queen's Road". I confirmed this with the Canadian Customs/Immigration officer. So ... it was the USA that put the gate up and it could only be put up on the USA side. ? The Canadians tore cars up with an absolute passion if they suspected Americans (and anyone else) was trying to cross in to Canada with a handgun or other prohibited items. What got me was the Canadian border personnel are never armed and if they ever get in to a situation requiring lethal force they have to call the RCMP who also love to hate anyone else with a handgun. I never really liked them and wouldn't entertain a conversation with them when they stopped at the checkpoints. They seemed very unprofessional in their firearms arrogance and paranoia. I started to ask one to remove himself back to his side of the border but he was called there due to an investigation so I just ignored him. I'm sure their females are worse. Most of them are all trying to get in to the RCMP so they try to put on a good show that they will do a good job so their employment record is good when they go to apply.
  13. Quite possibly the bare truth here. Madonna has already shagged to Portugal and she's actually been there a while now. I look for Whoopi to be the first to actually go to Canada. I dont know who all else stated they were going there but I know there's been a few. I agree that once one or two make the transition all the others are likely going to try to keep up with them.
  14. Thanks again I'll save this one too.
  15. COOL ... thanks. I'm curious to see of anyone here has witnessed the actual performance. Sounds like a nightmare round not leaving much to survive. That's damn twice the weight of an M193 moving at about the same speed. WOW !!!
  16. I just got some Hornady .308 TAP "urban" 110 grain rounds in yesterday. Anybody have any experience with these light rounds? They have the red plastic ballistic tip. Seems like they should move pretty good and work well with the 1-11.25" Armalite twist barrels. Just curious what their deflection and drop factor would be with that light weight and speed increase over the 149 grain 7.62x51 NATO?
  17. I have to agree also. Yes I think he nailed it perfectly on this one.
  18. Well ... in an effort to reinforce your last points here (but NOT to snipe this thread) I think old girl Hillary is up for some more wall-to-wall bashing of the best type again. Reported yesterday and all day today is the fact that 18-20 CIA intel operatives in China were executed from 2010 - 2012 due to her illegal damn servers. You know they didn't die easy deaths neither. When will all this bullshlt end? It's somewhat even obvious that useless blonde liberal judge that gave those idiots bond could've been in on a false-flag operation but now we have Hillary getting away with stuff every bit as bad as terrorists shooting up hospitals and shopping malls. Cannot tell me the FBI, et al, did not know something about that for a while too. Starting to sound like rogue element(s) in the FBI and the Soetoro Justice Dept. being in on false-flag operations may have some credibility after all.
  19. Yes this was unbelievable. But where's the liberal uproar about this one. Really is amazing that Session's office didn't send someone down from DC to monitor all this and offer any assistance needed. Weird.
  20. I noticed that too. Read today he might've been on the same meds/drugs that Lanza was reported to be on.
