  1. I am da only one in dis room professionally enough to handle dis glock!!! BLAM!!! Oh who can ever forget that one! i do give him credit for trying to continue after shooting himself. I read that he later sued the DEA because other agents made fun of him so badly.
  2. a bullet discharged from being dropped (besides the astronomical odds) wouldn't be very likely to shrapnel, it would just fly off since there isn't a barrel to give it velocity. I call BS. He had an accidental discharge from the firearm and injured himself. I'm very surprised the range doesn't have cameras.
  3. nice. hate i missed that.
  4. Hey you can't ever have too many mags. At some point in the next decade or so, these standard capacity mags will be banned again. Have a link to the 6 for $55 deal? Thanks, very very happy with how the build turned out. LR308 has been a want for a long time. I think I'm going to color fill the Aero logo and safety markings next. Other than that, the rifle is done. Probably add a JP Silent capture spring but it's running good now.
  5. i finally got mine too. they seem very durable. The sunshine washed out the color in the pics with the gun.
  6. Definitely stay with a 16" unless this is a strict range gun.
  7. I found all their coatings specs (they also offer NiB). The "cryptic" coatings are all 2-3 microns whereas NiB is 0.00035" - 0.0005". http://www.crypticcoatings.com/bolt-carrier-group-coatings/
  8. Word of the day... Hmm not in the urban dictionary but "caboose" is
  9. How thick is NiB? It's interesting because i can see sharper edges on my Cryptic coatings BCG than my Lantac NiB BCGs.
  10. I dont know how thick NiB is but the cryptic coatings is 2-3 microns. I ran another 60 rounds through mine this weekend. Shot great again. Took it out to 300 yards and clanged a perfect bulleye on my 12" steel first shot after making a few adjustments at 100 yards. Man, that 308 hits hard compared to my 223 my girlfriend was shooting next to me! http://www.crypticcoatings.com/mystic-black-bolt-carrier-group-coating/
  11. i got a set, thanks. Still 12 sets in stock.
  12. Primary arms usually has a good sale on them most holidays.
  13. Ive got a sightron SIII 6-24x50 on my LR308. Very sharp glass and nice mildots. Build sounds sweet!
  14. Better than pmags?
  15. Larue, Gap and JP all have very high accuracy right out of the box along with a very high price tag. Your question is pretty subjective... I mean most average guns shoot better than we can handle however, nothing wrong with having the best if you can afford it. I think all these rifles run in the $3500+ mark without a scope/bipod.
  16. If i still had them, Id certainly take you up on that! I appreciate the offer.
  17. Weird, it's a new packaged mag but maybe old inventory. I may ask if they can exchange it. Thanks for the insight.v
  18. They were in a package with clear plastic,. Whiney? I'm just trying to let other potentIal buyers know that it's all their first shipment of mags and you may want to avoid them for now. Five days for what?. That's a long time to answer an email in this day and age. Why as a customer would they tell me to fuk marks on a pRoduct that they know there is an issue with but kept selling anyway?. I guess you expect businesses to tell you to fuk off when you aren't happy with a known defecTive proDuct?
  19. Just got another email back from them, it's definitely the whole batch. Stay clear till this gets resolved.
  20. So i have a few pmags for my aero that work great. However, i still like metal mags and the idea of having a few back in the safe. So, I ordered some Brownells 20 round aluminum mags they just released but they were horribly finished. Like clumps and runs in the paint/finish whatever it is. Brownells response latest response: Anyway, I tried to exchange the Brownells mags but they said their entire first batch has a poor finish basically so i ordered a DPMS mag just to see. Wow, really nice quality and finish. Felt great... but... won't go in the magwell. Like one MM needed to make it work. Im sure i could force it in but just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. It wore off the cerakote where it's hitting at. Pmags and brownells mags both load and drop free fine.
  21. This is Brownells response to me after I called to verify they were shipping me three replacement magazines. I had told them that mine were stamped with 11/14 to help in tracking down bad batches potentially. I've got to say that their service has been really bad. They were very slow to ship the product, took 5 days to respond to an email and even then they were responding to a negative review, not my email. Now this... I'm confused if their entire first batch is poorly finished or what. Overall, pretty dissappointed in the service and product.
  22. Here is my build thread. Pmags, DPMS steel mags and Brownells aluminum mags are all available and work well. Just like an AR 15.
  23. I think i read that Aero has a gen II M5 lower now. Probably better compatibility with LPKs and BCM charging handles.
