  3. Maybe that is why they quickly fly out my way all the time..... no one wants them here..... very hard on crops and such....and too quick/smart to allow hunting/shooting of them from the fields.
  4. nothing but problems....and then maybe you get to keep the firearms.....
  5. Fukn exactly on all ideals.....
  6. That is actually sexy...... ...the things one misses when you don't go online......
  7. I owned a Bushmaster 11.5/5.5 carbine way back in the early 90's, it was a great little rifle. One of my favorite current guns is my (older manufactured) Bushy A2 carbine upper on a fixed A2 lower build.....had to trade something to get that one back from my son!!! I hope Windham can keep it going from now on!
  8. I have that one right outside the door to my reloading room......just keeps the "food for thinking while reloading" deal alive.
  9. I had such a good ending that I had to re-aquire this one back.....
  10. This was as happy an ending as I can get anymore....😇
  11. Well, there is just this one thing........... If you put the correct parts into something, it usually works correctly. Putting in the correct length buffer, with a good spring, really makes the rifle eject into the perfect place. H3 with orange Sprinco And just a small bit of knowledge. Knowing that I had the wrong buffer would have saved a lot of dumbassery for the last bit. I just didn't know what I didn't know, and that is that. Thanks for all the help and suggestions, guys.
  12. I actually wish we could go back to just after rotary phones......
  13. Well, I installed the Sprinco spring/H3 buffer, and just working the charging handle is a NOTICABLE different feel than any of the other springs that I have had in the rifle. I feel the need to do a couple more curls due to the change in the amount of force needed to work the handle. Didn't have the time to get to the range, but that will, now, need to be waited upon until Thurs/Fri sometime.
  14. I just noticed the dings after you mentioned it. There is only one ding, on the left side of the tube. Recoil: I never really noticed much difference from this rifle to another. BUT, that is really due to me not shooting my previous rifles alongside this one. I am now going to get one of my old ones back for testing side by side.
  15. And for 98: I am trying to stay away from an adjustable gas block. I will get another barrel with a pinned sight first. That is just how I roll, slightly weird; possible retardation: mostly just brick wall thinking sometimes.
  16. Yeah, this won't work either..... I just found the specs on it: length is 4.125" long. No go there.
  17. What does this mean now, besides me being slightly retarded....😐
  18. Schitz!!! I never thought of the differences here....... And the short one is what I had in the gun, the longer one is the H3 buffer out of my son's 6.5 Grendel. Me dumbass, never noticed the difference...... What does this mean now?
  19. https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/rifle-parts/rifle-recoil-parts/ar-15-fm-45-heavy-buffer/ For the informational purposes, this is what I was wondering if it would work for something this over gassed.
  20. Will a pistol buffer work in a carbine system? Especially considering that even a H3 buffer did nothing for the ejection pattern? Maybe I am not understanding the timing part of the buffer/spring/everything, but I got to thinking......and that kind of stuff happens. This, of course, is only if the orange spring doesn't help with the upper.
  21. I ordered an orange spring from Sprinco, and just waiting for delivery. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't....parts changing monkey strikes again!!!!😁
  22. I knew you would be that guy!!!!!!😁
  23. Would just getting a set of blue, red, and orange buffer springs from Springco be the easiest way to play some FAFO with the 2 buffers that I have on hand? In my mind this would give me the largest range of "adjustments" available between the springs and the 2 buffer weights I have to try out. If none of this works, then I will tear apart the gas system to look at just how oversized that port may be on the PSA barrel on the upper.......
  24. I mean, I guess that I can just run it like an AK (over gassed) and replace parts sooner than necessary....🤑
