Outstanding rifle.
As a side note I hope no one has something on order from Silencer Central. It came out this morning that they are lobbying against any potential legislation removing suppressors from the NFA. They could be the next Bud Light.
A great buy. Likely $200+ new. I immediately went to Scheels website to shop Benchmade - almost checked the box on a Presidio - then put it on the favorites list instead. Amazing impulse control for me.
Dodged the hail and storm bullet two nights ago - it went south of us. Almost 80 Wednesday, 75 yesterday, today falling into the 50's again with rain predicted. Right on schedule for the weekend.
Clear but back down to freezing in the KC area. The rain finally stopped....for a while...but the wind is back (25-40 mph) and although it will be in the 45-50' this coming week, it's supposed to hit 80 on 4/14.
I needed a few extra $$ to get free shipping on an Amazon order, so I got the DVD of "Sicario-Day of the Soldado" - which I like better than the first one. The DVD came with a code for a digital copy, so I can see it on the laptop too.
Rain over the weekend [of course] and back down into the low 40's. Clear today but the temps will stay below 50 for a few days. Subject to change without notice.
First real thunderstorm of the season. Woke me around 3:30 AM and continued for about two hours. I need to get outside this morning and check for downed tree limbs. 50 degrees on it's way to 60
I actually ordered a '73 Pinto Wagon. One of the best little cars I've owned. The wagon configuration mitigated the gas tank thing....a little....maybe. Ran like the proverbial top otherwise and we traded it for an LTD Wagon as the family grew.
A reprieve from the wind. It went from 40mph last night with rain to sunny and 32 this morning. Just enough rain to cut down on the wildfire risk a little. Supposed to be clear and 50's-60's for about a week. I spent some time wandering in the yard picking up broken branches & daydreaming about getting out to Spearpoint Ranch with the M&P Sport .308/7.62.
Weird today. 64 this morning, with the high winds that have been around for over a week. I'm grateful that Kansas has not had the incredible wild fire activity that OK just went through. My favorite ammo seller is in Stillwater and the awful fires missed them. A lot of businesses and homes burned there.
Back to Kansas: 64 now but dropping throughout the day and it's supposed to start raining / snowing around 4 when the temp hits freezing. Just another spring day in the Midwest.
Stay safe out there - wherever you are.
