Got it. I'm set on a SLR rail. I contacted them and told them what I have for a receiver and barrel They said the DPMS/SR25 nut. They also told me to ask for the wrench in the order, it'll be FOC and gave me a 10% discount code....Ive placed my order. It'll go in for Cerekote when it arrives. It's almost finished.

The barrel description says the following.................. For use on DPMS/Remington/FA pattern .308 AR rifles with a rifle-length gas system, includes barrel extension. Do I opt for the DPMS/SR25 nut?

Hi Gents....I need some help.... I'm looking at a few rails , they're giving me a option for either a DPMS/SR25 or AR10 Nut. Whats the difference and does it matter on a home build?

Its looking more like a completed rifle..... The barrel was just ordered today from Fulton Armory. I still haven't decided on a hand guard.

Gents , I can get salty as good as the next guy. On another firearm forum, I wont name. I was banned for not agreeing with a admin and gave him my opinion , in a respectful manner I thought. Regardless, I told him in private to go F himself in a PM and to ban me for life. They were a bit "PC" on that site. Guess he didnt like being called out in public?

Its refreshing to have a forum that allows you to let you express yourself like were talking with old friends.

I believe you answered my concern , if the head spacing is set/confirmed before the gas port is drilled then every AR type barrel is set, confirmed by QC at the manufacturer. Meaning that when the consumer has HS checked by a LGS hes just doing that for a extra safety check .

Gents, I have a observation regarding HS on AR type barrels. Lets assume you do have a Ar barrel that is out of limits. The only way I see to correct is to adjust the barrel extension with shims. if that were done wouldn't your gas port be out of alignment , meaning it would not be at the 12 o'clock position. I ask because every AR barrel Ive had checked by a PGS has been good to go ......Just my two cents.

The receiver group is in for engraving and cerekote. I found a local company in Tempe thru the AZCDL website; Wright Armory. Pics to follow when I get them back.
