Lower measures .752" between the pivot lugs, upper lug is .750". I'll see what 2A says. The rear take down is dead nuts .500" on both ends.

It still has some play even with the pins are installed. That's one reason I went with 2A's pins too. There is some lateral slop between the pivot pin lug and the lower. I'll have to ring em up.

Progress report: All parts came in minus hand guard. I'm digging it so far. One thing that kinda put me off is the upper/lower fit is not as snug as I'd hoped for. Almost makes me wish I'da gone with the Ascend Armory. Gotta watch those grams though. I can live with it. In the meantime, I'll be running my barrel and bolt to my gunsmith to check the HS. Btw, that speed safety is the cat's azz.

BCG showed up too! That was quick. It's like it was made for this upper/lower. Looks flawless. One thing I did notice is that the bolt slides in and out of the carrier just with its own weight. The guy who builds em says he uses a one piece, low retention gas ring. I don't have any experience with such sorcery so, is that normal, good, bad? Other than that, I approve this message.

The Armaspec SRS is GTG. No complaints.

@washguy The only PSA parts left on the pa10 are the upper/ lower recievers and the BCG. I do plan on using the BCG as it has the upgraded G2 extractor setup. It runs like a sewing machine. @Robocop1051 I'll be using the Faxon 16" pencil from the PA10. It shoots under 0.8 MOA and the headspace was GTG with the PA10 bolt.

FUGG IT!! I just clicked the order button on an Xanthos upper/lower set.

Just ordered a Xanthos Lite 308 upper and lower set. Gonna cannibalize my Pa-10 and revisit that at a later date. Yes, the main goal of this build will be lightweight and compact. Planning on a Brigand Arms carbon weave handguard. I'm now on the lookout for sturdy yet light stock assembly. Before ya'll start busting my balls, I aint gonna be weighing take down pins in the kitchen and posting pics that include my crooked toes. I wanted to do a high end build so why not put it on a diet. I should follow suit.

Sounds logical. I've settled on a taking the pencil Faxon and implanting it in a light compact hunting weapon. Start off with that Ascend upper and lower (what's a good light weight upper/lower set?) with one of those carbon Easter basket handguards from Brigand. The PA10 might get a 20 inch pipe later on. I'll be sure to keep y'all updated.

Priced out a build based on an Ascend Armory upper/lower. Probably put the Faxon pencil in this. Cheaper to build it....but do I "need" more than on 308AR???

Been itchin for a G2 Compact Hunter for some time. Any thoughts floating around on these rifles? Couldn't find much in the DPMS section.

I love this thing. Put them in and forget about it. Perfect size for us. Best money I've spent in a while. The wifi and app is slicker than greased owl sh!t too.
