  1. That's my daily inspiration. I love that show. My username is Rambeaux on other forums. I thought it would be a little cliche' on here though.
  2. Made the first hunt with my latest build. The Faxon 16" pencil made it about the same weight as my bolt gun. Great hunting MSR. I'm diggin it! This fella came sneaking up behind me on the first day of rifle for us poor public land hunters. 20 yards, put it behind his eye. Good luck to y'all!
  3. Good to hear Steve! You're welcome. Good luck this season!
  4. My boy wanted some fried backstrap BAD. Sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do.
  5. Been there, done that.
  6. Looks good Steve! Well done.
  7. Key mod
  8. 16 TPI and the "low" rail height.
  9. So THAT'S who does the NOAA emergency wx broadcast announcements. I always wondered. Seriously though, the whole thing stinks like a bloated, rotting, beached sperm whale.
  10. Oh yeah, skip the 18 or 20. Go 16" if you'll be hunting with it. Hunting is the main purpose for mine and I doubt I'll miss the extra 2 inches. Cue the penis jokes in...3...2...1
  11. Welcome Steve! I have a PA10 as well. I bought an upper assembly. If I could do it again, I'da bought a stripped upper and pieced it together and saved a few dollars. I have a Diamondhead VRS-T handguard on mine along with a Faxon 16" pencil .308. The PA-10 uses a "low" DPMS LR-308 pattern HG. I'm very pleased with the finished product. The 18" nitride that came with it shot great (.7 moa) but was too heavy for my liking, 2.75lbs. The Faxon is 1.78Lb.
  12. I'm in the process of finding a good load for my PA-10 and I came across THIS article by Sierra. I was under the impression that ladder loading involved starting with a minimum charge and loading a group of 5. Then incrementally working up each batch until you reach the max load. Then I'd shoot each set to see which grouped best. I've had good result but if there's a better way I'm all ears. I never really adjusted COAL, just settled on what was in the manual. I'm lookin to take it to the next level. What's your method of load development? Thanks gents.
  13. That's pretty freakin sweet, boss!
  14. Ladder'd up a batch with my new Rock Chucker (photo for you @survivalshop). Worked up from 42.0 to 43.0 in .2 increments for my Faxon 16" pencil. Varget of course, under some 165 gn Sierra hpbt Gamekings. I have some SST's I might try. I really like the new press. I find it's way more consistent than my dad's old JR press.
  15. I'm witchya.
  16. Good to know. I've almost bought from them a few times because of thier prices but ended up price matching it through optics planet. They won't see any of my greenbacks.
  17. Mounted up the new Rock Chucker. Very nice!
  18. Just to be clear, I was referring to the bra size and it's contents.
  19. I just happen to like DD's.
  20. I'm ready, please continue.
  21. Looks like a DD too. Notice how it's "chunky" around the barrel nut area Not that any of that matters.
  22. Yup, magwell looks bigger, rail height looks higher, and lower looks longer behind grip. Also pic with shells on the floor looks like 2 different cases to me.
  23. I've been reloading for about 3 years now and I'm still learning the minutia of accuracy loading. I'm amazed at the difference a taylored round can make. Good stuff.
  24. I'm using a headspacing comparator. I initially setup my FL dies as per the instructions. It was pushing the shoulder back .013ish (can't remember exactly) from the fire formed case.
