  1. Here are a few pics of my steps, the house across the street. Last night after I got home it was worse, but I could take pics due to darkness and torrential rain.
  2. My family and I are safe. I'm scheduled off till Friday. However the crew working my facility at the moment needs relief. So as soon as I can get there I'm gonna get there. In my moms neighborhood there were many stranded. She lives south of lake Conroe. And they are releasing huge amounts of water downstream. It's flooding huge areas. Many people flooded and stranded. If you're deployed stay safe. Texas appreciates all the help from y'all. THANK YOU!!!
  3. Thanks for the welcome everyone. Hurricane/Tropical storm Harvey is still kicking our butts in south east Texas. I just got home last night after working a 36 hour stretch at my prison facility. Keep Texas in your prayers. There's wide spread catastrophic flooding on an unprecedented scale. Record rains due to the storm stalling has caused floods that will continue for days, perhaps weeks. My family was hit hard, but we are all safe. Stuff can be replaced.
  4. And yes. The atv trail goes through there.
  5. He lives near Darlington. He was at the tractor pull in Barabou this evening. He was driving the sled.
  6. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
  7. If you ever go see the tractor pulls, my cousin Bob Hole is part of the Tri County Pullers.
  8. Wisconsin? I'm originally from Darlington WI. Most of my family is from up that way. There and Livingston WI. I've been in Texas since I was 13. I'm an Army brat. We ended up at Ft Hood, and I haven't left Texas since, other than vacations.
  9. Made it to work. There was a little street flooding, but nothing major. Gotta head in. No phones alowed.
  10. We're ok. Thanks. My wife is off today. She drives a Jeep Wrangler, and I drive a Ram 1500. Our street is flooded a little, but we're ok. We haven't lost electricity yet. I gotta get ready for work today. I'm a corrections officer at a prison hospital in Texas City. I work 1:00-10:00pm. So I'll probably head out a bit early due to the weather. If you don't have to work, hunker down and stay safe! Marty
  11. Looking for info on PA10 rifles I ran across the forums. Liked what I saw, and here I am.
  12. I'm in Santa Fe btw. We're not far from each other.
  13. Can't deplete what ya don't have!! Here lately my kids(18 and 20yr olds) seem to need rescuing by daddy on a regular basis. Last night, during torrential rains, my 18yr old son decides to take his friend home. Being dark, and pouring down rain, he couldn't see well while backing his truck. And, he backed into the right rear of my truck. Now we both have dented up trucks!! If it weren't for mistakes like that in my family I'd have a lot more fun money!! I hope your doing ok up in Pasadena during this storm. Looks like we're gonna get a lot more rain before it's over.
  14. Just reading through this thread, and thought to myself-"damn, the most famous person I've met was a serial killer, Henry Lee Lucas". Before we executed him, he used to come to the prison hospital where I worked as a corrections officer. Occasionally I'd be on the escort team that would take him to his doctors appointments. He was an evil, sorry POS.
  15. Hello everyone. I'm listening to hurricane Harvey's storming weather outside as I type this. My name is Marty Ley. I've used AR15's for many years, but had never owned a .308 AR styled rifle, until now. I've ordered one from PSA. I get their sales emails, and I couldn't pass up their summer hunting sale on their PA10 uppers and a lower. Both together were only about 580.00 shipped. They were supposed to arrive today. Unfortunately, hurricane Harvey has seen fit to delay that UPS delivery. So, I'm hoping to lay hands on my new PA10 next week sometime. In the mean time I'll be happy reading and learning about them here. Thanks y'all, Marty
