  1. My patch was different. Haven’t got to use mine yet. It’s going to be reserved for a future build. The upper that I ordered comes with a headspaced bcg from Fulton armory. I’m 5 weeks in to the 8-10 week wait.
  2. While the rubber pad cannot be extended the mission first tactical adjustable stock can have a cheek riser added on for $20. This stock sits further back than most of the other ones on an adjustable tube. There is also a compartment for storing small items behind the rubber piece.
  3. Yes, handguns legal but still must fall below 22 cal. My original post before edit said no handguns but then I actually read what I took a screen shot of and corrected what I stated.
  4. 6.5mm is too large a caliber for it. I have to stay 22 cal or below at night
  5. I’ve been looking into one to make into a coyote gun. In WV you have to use a 22 cal to hunt coyotes at night. What I’ve found is that a 22” barrel is about where it is best.
  6. Thanks for this. I was going to pick up some more 10rd mags and grabbed them with this discount. Discount plus free shipping. Only downside is that WV now requires state tax on internet orders. Only a few websites I’ve ordered from actually have it built in and this is one. Still a good deal.
  7. Some goodies for my AR15 arrived today. I had never upgraded the stock from what came on it. Was only going to buy the MFT stock but when I went to check out I could get free shipping if I spent a little bit more. The difference almost made the pmag buy one get one.
  8. Does primary arms give the hold overs for the BDC with different bullet weights with being sighted in at a specific distance? I’m basing this question on how a scope like Nikon has their spot-on app.
  9. It is multiple calibers....5.56, 357 mag, 40 s&w, 308. What made it odd was a 150 round box of a different than normal 556 I get just to try out and 2 boxes of 20 of 308 hunting rounds. Had a couple different people in on this order bc shipping was rediculous but the per round price was great. There is some rebate on the federal 5.56 stuff right now, like 5 cents per round. For example a box of 500 is $145 but after the rebate it’s $120. They had the 308 federal gold metal match for $17.99 a box so I took most of what they had and now it’s completely out of stock (or it was last night, haven’t checked back today)
  10. For anyone wondering. The daytona tactical 80% lower is 1.359” (finally measured with a caliper). Above the rear takedown pin. Fulton Armory upper was stated to me at 1.268” (from the FA shop manager) at the rear takedown pin. With a difference of about .09” it will leave slightly more than 1/32nd” on each side. I can live with that.
  11. $169 plus $10 shipping at Kentucky gun company. This is where I got it. Was sent quick. Kentucky gun co prs gen3
  12. Fulton armory 20” guardian complete upper target grey with jp compensator, TacOps charging handle and the NiB bcg that comes headspaced with it. Hard wait of 8-10 weeks. Now I've got an extra charging handle (radian raptor lt) and NiB bcg (acme machine). I hate wasting parts so it looks like I’m going to have to build a 6.5 creedmoor after this one. Oh well. Lol.
  13. Just looking at the photos it appears the Fulton is the proper “style”. I’m basing it on the takedown pin holes and the shape above them. A known constant would be the takedown pin length, correct. Below are pictures or each and also a picture of what I am trying to avoid. It is a pic of someone who used an aero upper with a lower “similar” in design to mine.
  14. I don’t have 32nds on my tape but I would say it’s 1” and 11/32nds or 1.34”. It is over the 1 5/16th line and not to the 1 3/8th line. This is right above the rear takedown pins.
  15. It’s got to be near me. I’m in North Central WV.
  16. Yes, I gather Fulton is very well regarded. The quality from Daytona tactical in their complete upper is what I am trying to avoid. I can can get measurements tonight.
  17. So I’m ready to buy my complete upper. I was dead set on getting an aero precision then I started looking at photos of builds online. It appears that the bottom of the aero is going to be much skinnier than the top of my lower. Then I started looking at the Fulton builds and it looks like it would fit much better. I basically must get a complete upper bc I have no desire to assemble one myself. Getting a matched upper for my 80 lower is a non deal because I want a quality complete upper. The ones they offer in complete uppers seem like the barrels are not up to par. My 80% lower is from Daytona tactical. Do any of you have any experience with “wide” lowers and care to offer a suggestion. My 80 is ready to go, already milled out. It looks like if unwound have gotten an 80% arms lower the aero would fit much better. Basically I want something that will look seamless or as close as I can get. Again, I don’t want to build an upper from a matched set. Heres a pic of the assembled lower. Thanks in advance for any help
  18. From 80 to 100. Not perfect but it functions in my hand. Parts are tight. Will keep oiling it and wiping it down.
  19. Ordered. Thanks!
  20. Using the dowel method it is measuring on spec. I also contacted the place I got it from and told them about the buffer weight that is listed vs actual weight. They took measurement of ones they had in stock and verified my measurement. They have since changed their website. My next area of concern would be the length of spring. I’ve seen it referenced on this site that it should be 13.75” minimum. I’m 1 inch short of that. I’ve also looked at the heavy buffers link that has been posted on here and I’m just wondering if I should just go ahead and order their 10oz buffer and corresponding spring. My wife would be shooting this as well so I would think that would reduce some recoil for her. Thoughts?
  21. When I get home tonight I’ll measure it. I’ll have to look for a smaller tape because all the ones that I have recently used are too wide. The inside only need to be a little over 1/4” shorter to be on the mark. The butt end where the the screw would go protrudes a little from the tube so I’m betting it will be on spec. Thanks for the measurement reference.
  22. Ok. Got it out of the mail, scale says it’s 5.4oz and measured to 5.25”. Spring is 12.75” long with 38 coils. Tube is 10” outside length.
  23. Here is the buffer. It’s waiting in my mailbox. Buffer link its 5.25” and 5.9oz
  24. I haven’t been absent since my introduction I’ve just been reading thread after thread on here. I’m getting kind of concerned with my build though. From reading through problems it seems like these builds have gremlins to address. I’m guessing the only way to see what goes wrong is to get this thing put together and test. But it’s been like Christmas again for me with packages arriving. I’ve gotten my NiB BCG, 80% lower and parts kit, magpul prs gen3 stock. My concern is coming from reading threads about buffer systems. The buffer, tube, spring will be delivered today. I went with an A2 length with a 5.9oz buffer. I keep seeing that 5.4oz is what you want and fear I’ve made a mistake, but it is the proper length 308 rather than the AR15. I still have to mill this lower out, not sure when I’ll get the time. I’ve got an engraver going to put some stuff on it and I’ll fill in his marks. The one thing I didn’t like about the lower I got is that it didn’t come with fire/safe marked. So the build is on hold until I can get some stuff done. I’m going to keep reading though. Anything else I need to keep aware of....as in common mistakes?
